Morning TAN.

Great news today.  My best friend from Florida (he is the closest thing to a brother that I have) called me this morning to let me know that his wife had their first (and only, according to him) child today at 6:30 EST.  Alexandra Faith ia 5 lbs 8 ounces and was much unlike her father in that she was three weeks early.  Both mother and child are doing well.  The father has come to the realization that life, as he knew it, will never be the same.

WWTD - would it be a bad idea to get a massage after my long run tomorrow? I have the day free and I have a discount coupon for a massage at a new spa in Falls Church.

yeah, I do have a spam filter... that was in my junk mail folder... I have to check it every now and again because real mail gets tossed in there from time to time... and actually since my work email is on our congregation's website, my work email gets TONS more spam than my private email since I don't give that out to just anyone.

So how long does road rash take to heal?

Also JD are you going to do the Miami Tri in Nov?  Saw you posted there, wife and I are coming down from VA to do it.

Oh and good morning everyone.

Depends on how bad the roadrash is and what you mean by healed.  My last case probably healed in a week or two, but the skin on my elbow will take another 6 years to not look funny.

TAN, I come this morning asking fashion advice.  I know, I know, it's strange.  But here goes...I'm going to try out wearing black nail polish.  I MIGHT wear it to a Gala this Saturday.  My dress is the black halter (I think still in my album?).  Anyway, if I wear open toe shoes (probably will) then...should my toes ALSO be black polish?  Or...not?

I'm a big fan of black/dark nail polish.....do it all!

Oh...and g'mornin' TAN.

I would say to try a REALLY dark, almost black shade of purple. I have one that I picked up super-cheap at the drug store that is hawt! It's a richer color than just straight up black. But I think that would fine.

That should heal up quick.  The spot on your knee might scar a bit, but is that a big deal to you?

I was - but there has been a change in plans.  We are trying to buy a new house and we are saving money instead.

Mine "healed" but I still have a giant birthmark-looking thing still and prolly will always.  I guess it depends on how big, how bad, how deep, etc.

it will scar less if you keep it covered - put antibiotic ointment on and tefla (non stick gauze). and absolutely positively keep it out of the sun until fully healed (not pink anymore)
