I ran this morning and on Friday.  That puts me at 9 runs for the month.  My goal was 10.  I'm not sure if I can do it tomorrow or not.  Sorry team!  This running thing is getting more and more challenging.  Although, I will say that the support band is helping a lot! Thanks, owl girl!!

geauxtri - 2011-10-29 9:02 PM Well gang... I'm not sure I will make my goal or not.  However, even if I don't get to run again this month I've still managed to log the most miles ever in one month and increased my mileage by almost 70% from September.
As well... I'm fairly uninjured (well no more than what I started the month at )

I ran my 1/2 Mary today in costume  and sans inhaler (forgot it at home) and still PR'd by 12 minutes.  Okay, it was downhill and yes, now I'm having issues breathing and coughing up huge lugies   Not to mention my torso hurts front and back.

Oh well... perhaps I'll go for a walk tomorrow to try and keep moving.

Nice job on the PR!!  I hope you're feeling better today.

Thanks y'all!
My lungs are feeling MUCH better today.  Only one puff on the inhaler this morning when I woke-up.  And occasionally I can take a deep breath and not cough it out
I am having some unusual/unexpected discomfort in my core (my obliques and lats).  I'm going to attribute that to focusing more on my form and core for stability during the downhill portion
Other than that, it's just typical soreness, stiff neck, and headache.

I am going to fall a bit short   I did my half marathon yesterday and I am SO SORE today, I could barely walk.  I am attempting a run tomorrow, come hell or high water, but will fall at least 1 run short.   I am bummed that my cold messed up October for me, but it was sure fun trying.

Geauxtri, your 1/2 sounds like mine! Costume, downhill race, coughing attack (although no 12 min pr, boo hoo).   I didn't need (have never used) an inhaler, but I was seriously considering stopping at the ER on my home as the coughing only got worse.  Fortunately lunch, and probably inside with warm dry air, helped and I eventually got back to normal.   It's the cold that keeps on giving.

I fell one session short of my goal.      I ran my first half marathon on Saturday on Cape Cod.  Couldnt have asked for a better first race.  Most of the race paralleled the ocean.  THere were a few rollers but not so bad.   Can't wait for the next one!

Lumber Dad - 2011-09-29 9:53 AM Had to go under the 10%, not sure if I am ready for 170+ mile month.

Lenny - you do 170+ I will grant you CWWC Champion of 2011-2012 before we even earn 1 point - that would be hard core.

I am looking at 70+ and am scared of that

Ok Bill, I won't hold you to this.

Great month everyone!

Looking forward to the start of the CWWC tomorrow.

Hope you're feeling better than I today.  Serious case of DOMS here.  I don't get it... I stretched, drank plenty of water, and moved around quite a bit getting errands and grocery shopping done.

Oh no!

Some parts are better, some are worse. My left knee hurt, I think from overcompensating. I have to focus on using my leg muscles equally when I walk becasue my left quad is so sore.

I don't understand it, considering the amount of dancing I did on Saturday night after the race!
