With so many PRs the last few weeks the pressure is on. Give us your race scoop! And for the rest of us, what's the one thing you've been doing during the OS that has helped keep you going, energized you or rocked your world? A new eating plan? a favorite new sport?....lay it on us! Good Luck, Linda and Jeff! I'll be sending you lots of positive thoughts this weekend. Have a great race, Sam! Rachel- Enjoy your trip to the Berkshires. I grew up out there and loved going to see JT at Tanglewood every summer. That sounds like such a fun show. Nothing rocking my world these days. I am reading Monique Ryan's Sports Nutrition for the Endurance Athlete with hopes that I can get my nutrition in check by Apr-May. This is one area where I am really struggling. I like the book so far but does anyone else have a recommendation? Kim- how are you going about finding a new saddle? Trial and error? Outside of measuring my own sit bones, I haven't found any other way of narrowing it down. |

A lot of people like the Cobb saddles so that is usually a good place to start. |

If anyone is not sure between the Cobb and the Adamo then I would suggest the Cobb first as they have an unbelievable guarantee on their saddle. If I remember right it is a use it for 90 days and if you don't like it, you can return it - no questions asked. Just my two cents... |

Elite 3072 san francisco | Subject: RE: SWBKRUN fast, furious, and closed mighty mom - 2011-11-17 6:21 AM Well, I took the step of emailing my bike guys...he has the Adamo TT and the Racing model along with several other saddles in stock (except for the Cobb)...he said he can set me up and see how they fit and feel at the shop...I just need to set up an appointment. I kind of hope the Adamo racing model fits because I found a great custom design I want to buy! But I am going to be smart and make sure it is comfortable and will work with my set up. I think we may check my fit overall and see if we can get more aggressive if my flexibility has increased since our initial fitting two years ago or *sigh* if we need to go the other way. Should be fun!SSMinnow - 2011-11-16 6:47 AM Hi Ho Peeps! It's that time again. Who is committed to bringing it home this weekend? With so many PRs the last few weeks the pressure is on. Elite 3072 san francisco | Subject: RE: SWBKRUN fast, furious, and closed Christina, I liked this book called, The Paleo Diet by Loren Cordain (sp?)...we do not follow it really, I love bread too much, but enjoyed a different perspective on food, reminders of what is really crap and what we can cook with more healthily...liked the recipe section a lot. Using citrus as a marinade is my new favorite thing...eliminates sugar and over use of salt...anyhow, lots of good resources at our library and I finally figured out how to download free to Kindle/iPad. |
