Very cool find and what a cute little critter!!

What I find funny is that this "newly" found critter has been in zoos for years!

Little did Helgen and company know, this little critter has been hiding in plain sight. For years, museum curators, zoo keepers and researchers mistook the olinguitos for their relatives, the known and named olingos.

If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck...don't ask if it is an olinguito...

Since you will already be in HM shape and all: http://www.databarevents.com/saltys.asp

Well Satly, I can't do the travel thing....but I have 12 miles on the agenda that day so I could do a virtual Salty half Undecided

yeah!!!! Dooo eeeeet

I saw that, but there are differences they just didn't know about between olingos and olingios.  Still a cute little critter, reminds me of the Ewoks in the Star Wars movies.  (yes, I am a closet geek)

Our friend that passed away from ALS is being honored tonight at the WNBA game as a woman of inspiration. A bunch of us are going to celebrate. Should be pretty cool!!

Between that, my women's only triathlon this weekend, the fact that I am reading Lean In - Women, Work, and the Will to Lead and taking a lot of baths lately I'm feeling exceptionally lady-like. Surprised

I am doing a women's only tri next weekend. There are waves starting from 7:00 to about 7:15 am. They are doing the awards at 10:30 to give everyone a chance to finish. I'm all for the touchy-feely-include-everyone vibe but it's. a. sprint!!!!!!!!

Ughhh that's how ours will be too. Not to mention I nearly ALWAYS ditch out on awards.

What's worse is that this event it's required that you take a shuttle because parking is limited which means I'll be stuck on touchy-feely island until the very end.

I'm currently researching every last option to avoid this.

Totally get where you are coming from our women only tris are the same but they are for a good cause.

Take your phone and head phones and a book and plonk your self under a tree and read and have a little kip. Just dont do it in the sun cause if you are like me the lilly white body will become bright red and it will hurt to move the next day, not because of the tri but because of the sunburn (that Canadian runner has a tan compared to me).

As of 3 PM today, I got an answer about what's up with my mom. This is what she told dad soon after her surgery--I am hoping that she got it right and the drugs weren't making her muddled: They did exploratory abdominal surgery this morning and ended up having to do a full hysterectemy as they found a cancerous uterine tumor. As of now, it looks like they got all of the cancer and she will not need any chemo or radiation.

I am alternating between being completely numb and crying my eyes out. she doesn't want visitors right now, so I will have to wait to talk/see her. I did leave a message on her cell, so I hope that I will hear from her soon. My dad is doing ok--all things considered, he is pretty numb as well.

This was not AT ALL what I was expecting. I don't even know of anyone in our extended family who hashad or does have cancer....with all of us its always been heart issues. I just don't get it.

Cancer is indiscriminate. None in my family then my dad. Take comfort they got it all with hopefully no follow up procedures needed. Thinking of you.

Coming out of the blue, I'm sure that this was very shocking and scary; but the good news is they found it.  As others have said, hoping for a smooth recovery and that they got it all.

I find that I have to clear my cache before I see the change. The "F5" key does this on a Windows PC. I see your new avi after doing so.

No perturbed in the slightest i walked the 2km back to Jae.  some debris from the road had bounced up and stuck in the rear derailleur - turns out to be a bike computer magnet not from my bike!  What are the odds.

Jae gets his mechanic to fix up Terenzo (my bike - nearest I'll get to riding him) - they weren't busy so he gave him a full service.  Worryingly he said I was right to be cautious, had I continued riding I would have torn the derailleur off the bike and would definitely have had a nasty crash and maybe written off Terenzo,  so aren't I lucky and aren't I brave!???

Cycled the 10km home and got changed and ran 5km with Scooby.

Feels good to be out there and doing the real graceful stopping - first time ever on the road doing that.  Now I want to ride every day!

Ahhhhh.. The day I've been waiting for.  I knew it would come sooner or later.

Awesome job!!!
