Thank goodness for you peachy people! Whoop whoop! Today I actually wanted to run. I was so happy to get the kids to bed and hit the treadmill. I didn't even get bored! Not getting bored on the treadmill is epic! |

Good stuff! May tomorrow be peachy keen. x3 This group is the only reason I worked out yesterday at all. I was so unmotivated and I would have cut my run short (taken a shortcut home) but it wouldn't have gotten me to 30 minutes. So thanks! |

Extreme Veteran 1222 Tallahassee, Florida | Subject: RE: October Peach Challenge I just love this challenge! I had a full day today so I got up at 5am to insure I got in some time. I was actually able to run this morn and it felt wonderful. Then I got a massage that seems to have worked out all of the back issues that I've been carrying around for almost 3 weeks. Yea!!!!! Got home and realized I forgot to pickup my makeup before getting home so instead of cranking up the car, I took the long way over there to get in 30 more minutes. Came home and found DH loading his bike. He said he wanted to drop it off for a tuneup tomorrow and then run to pick it up when it was ready. Good idea but he is a man and forgot one little thing; I put his helmet in there too so he can leave it with the bike. |

Master 4119 Toronto | Subject: RE: October Peach Challenge Well, thank you everyone, I had a long day yesterday but because of the fact that I threw out this peach challenge I did unroll my yoga mat for a short session. It wasn't what I was planning on doing but it was something - and that is the point isn't it! Great to hear everyone's progress - with the weekend upon us - how is everyone doing and feeling?? I want to second Chris' thought - even if one of those pesky yellow squares appears - don't give up!!! Consistency is the goal - not perfection. And even if today doesn't work out there's always the next day. To borrow a phrase from a famous organization: one day at a time' |

Any tips for getting up at 5am? I don't think I had this much trouble getting up early when the sun was coming up early, but these days 5am still feels like the middle of the night! It seems like most of my workouts this week have come from my bike to work commute, so I'm really looking forward to having some extra time this weekend to get in some other workouts, swimming and strength training especially. Chicago Marathon is this weekend -- I'm not running, just cheering! Anyone doing a race this weekend? |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: October Peach Challenge van_paulus - 2012-10-03 2:18 AM Hi All Id like to join the challenge . My name is Paul. I need a taser or some form of motivation to keep up my training in this solitary (generally) sport . Unless its race week . I am an overworked artist who has ambitions to place in races but needs to shed weight to resolve running issues which have reduced me to months of walking with a limp after a Half marathon last winter. I have returned to running once a week . I can bike and swim all i want but must restrict my running to keep my knees happy . My first goal will be to be active and rotate through all the sports i love . My secondary (but important) goal for the month is to be down 10 pounds by Nov 4 th when we host a half marathon . This is ultimately my limiter . My Next Race is the Magic Mountain Man touted as perhaps the toughest triathlon in the US You called? I can arrange this, if you'd like. Regular 90 Bearspaw, Alberta | Subject: RE: October Peach Challenge I actually planned and made time tonight! I'm super proud of that. I'm slowing things down to get ready for the 10K this weekend so I just walked, but I did something. Yesterday was less successful. It was one of those days so I just did a bit of strength training. I'm happy enough with my dark peach. Edited by Wiff 2012-10-05 9:30 PM |

How did it go, Kim? Congrats! Thanks!! For my first 10K with limited training - I rocked it! Bit more training required before I'm going to be in podium contention. I'm toying with signing up for another race before the end of the year but it's already coldish now so I'm not sure. I'll wait until my legs are less sore before I decide. |
