Make my cats eat the cheap cat food like Purina instead of the expensive Science Diet food.

I think you have come up with some great ideas, but I would suggest keeping your cats on the "expensive" food.  The other food is cheap for a reason, because its just not as good.  I work as a vet tech and have seen numerous health problems arise with cats (and dogs) due to poor quality food.  The owners end up bringing in very sick animals (which sometimes require surgery) and leave with a fairly substantial vet bill.  So, my advice is to pay the money now (for the good stuff) in order to avoid paying the money later (for the vet bill)

Elly

After many responses, I will be keeping my kitties on Science Diet   Thanks for mkaing me feel like a good cat owner.  I have people all the time tell me that I shouldn't buy them the expensive cat food.

If you have cable tv, get rid of it. Maybe keep the local channels for $8 or so. After a few weeks you won't miss it at all.

I don't have cable.  When I bought my townhouse I just never bothered to get it installed because I was never home.  I don't miss it or feel like i need it- although having OLN would be nice   I'm never really home becuase I'm so busy!  At least tri trianing saves me money in some way

Only own one light bulb. You can carry it around from room to room. This will save on your light bulb bill and your electricity bill.

Janelle,

All3sports is hiring, and if you are interested in insurance (adjusting, not selling) I can put in a call to my brother and see what he can do for you.

And thanks for not getting rid of me!!

Or just get rid of your cats Janelle. Cats are stupid anyway.

Totally. Better yet, eat the cats. You'll save some money on food, so it's win-win.

I'm a giver.

Janelle,

All3sports is hiring...

All3sports would be a dream job. Do they pay a six-figure salary or give a 50%-off employee discount? Either would be acceptable.

Too bad I know nothing about bikes. I couldn't be a tech. Oh well. I'll just have to live with going in there and smelling all the stuff.

How do you get a job at a bike shop if you don't know anything about bikes? Hopefully you left that little tidnit off of your application.

And smelling all the stuff? I'd leave that off, too.

Umm...uhhh...I mean...I don't like the store that much....

All3 isn't a "bike shop" Jim. Its so much more than that. They sell other stuff too, things I know a lot about and enjoy smelling going to look at.

You would do well on comission if they sold "Aquaphor".  LOL

Saving money by working my job:
1. Live in town (excellent for training)
2. Free lunches on Thursdays
3. Unlimited cokes and a stocked kitchen (they even buy healthy stuff now because of me)
4. Good hours

Wow these things are exactly the same as my job!

Oh wait...even better!

If you have a M and F cat, you can breed them and sell the offspring to medical supply companies and/or Chinese restaurants.
