My personal favorite is any thread starting with

FOR LADIES ONLY
QUESTION FOR LADIES

The thread will have 8 comments and 1,239 views

And 4 of those comments will be from guys yelling "I knew I shouldn't have opened this thread!"

Silly boys. Thinking the thread would be about which pasties to wear to prevent chafing during the women's slumber party pillow fight but instead it's a thread that contains the words "projectile menstruation." BWAHAHAHA!!!!

snort!

Happy to provide such memorable phrasing.....

My Fav is

I am taking a break from COJ for a while

Yeah, the best was when spokes announced he was taking a break from BT/COJ. The celebration was still going strong when he changed his mind. I think his hiatus lasted eight minutes.

nighthawk - 2007-09-20 3:27 PM Crop dusting on the treadmill - "Did my run on the treadmill after work today. I'm just putting along when I notice the guy next to me bend down and act like he was adjusting his shoes. Next thing I know I'm hit by a horrendous SBD. What the hell do you do? Call the guy out and embarrass him or just remember never to run next to him again."

I just spit all over my screen.  Being relatively new to BT  I haven't seen one of these.  I wondered what crop dusting was!!!

This is the oldest post I could find

http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=4&posts=2#M6

It is basicly the genisis for the introduce yourself catigory of threads. Of course way back, there was just Ron responding to everyone and everything.

Other threads types: Where do you get change at a sprint, What if I can not swim, I hate running

they may not have started as such, but the replys were, and sometimes still are (like this quick response here) that came fast and furious all day long.

Also saw a real old school thread about posting your workouts each day on a thread started that day. Pre blog thread.

I have not been able to forget this quote in nearly the four years since, and I think about it nearly daily. Especially when reading Tri Talk. BWAH HA HA HA HA

And I thought this thread and topic needed a resurrection.
