OK, I'll give you a little Italian flair for the thread. Just don't give me grief because I hung Shimano on her...

That is a really pretty bike - what kind of bike is it? where did you get it?

It is a Wilier Lavaredo Crono

wgraves7582 - 2008-05-15 10:04 AM Time for the rebel to show up at the party with the barmaid as a date!

Yer seat-bag's too low

nice SS, which model is it?

It broke on me that day so it was hanging on by a thread - literally!

Bianchi MUSS - just went to a 14 on the rear this spring.  Time to clean her up and get her dirty again this weekend.  Cannot wait for the marathon to be over so I can ride her a lot!!!!

14!!!

Why do you hate your knees?

What do you people do for a living? Me and my wife are both engineers, make great money and live in a low cost city and i can't afford half these bikes.

1 - Being single helps. I have a gf but our finances are split
2 - Savvy shopping. I bide my time and wait for big sales and/or free shipping.
3 - I'm a consultant for a big company (let's just call it IBN ) so the salary helps, but probably not much different than an engineer.
4 - I'm lame. Other than computers, Tri is my only hobby. Don't have a cable bill, don't spend money on alcohol or drugs, so what else am I going to spend it on?

Engineer?   Not an English major?  Shouldn't that be "My wife and I are both engineers...:"?  Then again, what do I know, I'm an engineer two....to.   whatever.

Yeah i've never like how that sounds....With the "and I" maybe i'm just selfish and i like to put myself first lol. I guess i probably have to many other hobbies. We have 3 car payments (I like nice cars). I have a 68 camaro that i put alot of money into. And golf is expensive and i play way to much. I guess i answered my own question to why i can't afford them....I spend to much on my other hobbies.

In retrospect, that picture sucks. I may have to take a camera with me on my ride this weekend and keep an eye out for scenic vistas.

Here is my sweet ride! I think she's a grandma among everyone elses nice bikes! She is atleast a year or two older then me (I'm 21), but she is fast! I have never ridden a nice bike, so I don't know what I'm missing out on! The only really bad thing is trying to shift on downhills, and the discomfort on longer rides.

Here's mine.  *Nimbus 3000*.  Should really have called it Stimulus.  Specialized Allez Triple.

This was the day I got her. My $99 Walmart GMC Denali is in the background.

This is what she looked like at the end of last season; I've accumulated some upgrades over the winter that haven't yet been installed: FSA SL-K carbon cranks, aero Rotor Q-rings, Oval cockpit (stem, aerobars & carbon levers) and finally upgraded to 10 sp drivetrain with DA derailleurs.
