Nutrition is going to be my Limiter. It always is... So for 22 days out of 31 in Dec. I am going to log nutrition and it is going to be 1500-1700 calories. Giving me some room to get into the groove or cheat a day or two or three.

Ok...running.. distance - put me down for 55 miles. It snows here but I think the worst weather comes in January.

Ice cream: Ok... how about cut out one day a week. I can live with that...baby steps right?!

And I'm sporatic with the forums depending on my work schedule which will change in December so doesn't really matter but to be safe maybe not so chatty in case I can't post much.

Hi there...Can I join in?

Swimming is going to be my limiter...breaking inertia and getting to the pool...So lets go with 7 swimming sessions

Oh and if we are doing teams I like relatively chatty ones.

My limiters are limitless.  With over four of the past five months spent on the road bouncing from hotel to hotel and living out of a suitcase consistency has been...well inconsistent.

I'll go with running as I've got a marathon to survive through in less than eight weeks and more than a few lbs to lose.  Running, running, running.  Will nail down the goal later...

Okay, I think I have been looking long enough at this challenge.

I will have swim lessons in January and therefore will dedicate Dec to running again (3 months in a row - go figure!). This time it won't be a mileage goal, but a sessions goal in order to get some concistency. So please put me down for 12 sessions.

Chatty team would be nice, but I am not sure how much I will be able to participate especially in the second half of the month..... My parents just have dail-up....

So can I change my limiter...it was going to be getting my butt to the pool, but one of the wounds from my recent surgery is looking a little angry at me and I think it is probably best to keep it out of the water...So I am going to change my goal to running 40 miles in december.

Thanks!

LazyMarathoner - 2008-11-21 11:20 PM I'm in for swimming. I broke my shoulder in August and just have not been able to get it back. I'll check back with a goal. And if possible, put me on Beth's (lastcall2003) team!

Ok, I'm in for 16 sessions of swimming, hoping to average 4/week, but some weeks may be higher and lower due to travel, but I'll make it all up in the end.

I'm sure it goes without saying that a request for Beth's team would be super chatty, but just in case, I'd love a very chatty team!

SWIM goal:  3x/week (min 3 hr per week)

other goals are more technique focused so there's no " proof" in the logs that they get accomplished.  So it's bbetween me and the pool piglet coach.

Teams made up yet?

Yeah, but who WOULDN'T want to be on the vixen team? I suppose we could stick all the boys on some other team...

Okay, working on the spreadsheet and team assignments tonight. Might be Sunday before it all gets up, though, and I figure we'll have a few more join between now and then. This is a big challenge group!

Ok - I finally decided what my goal is.  Lately nutrition is definitely my limiter.  I have been eating whatever I want lately and that's not working out so good.  My goal is to log my daily food and stay within my "points"range (lifetime ww member) 26 out of 31 days this month.  I'd also like to lose 5 lbs in the process but I won't include that as part of my actual goal.

Thx for putting this together Slugger.  I so need this during the month of December when all the food crap gets delivered to our office and every social occassion revolves around food.

Can I still get in on this? Running is definitely my limiter. I need to get myself up to running 3 times a week. As a first step I'll commit here to running 3x weeks alternating with 2x weeks for a total of 12 runs (at least 3.4 miles per run).

Hi everyone.  I'm new.  I would like to join a team.  My limiter is swimming.  My training program calls for me to swim on Tuesdays and Thursday, but I don't always make it and since I am the slowest one in the pool, I really should not be skipping workout sessions.  The pool is closed on Christmas and so there are 8 swimming days in December and that's what I am aiming for.

 Thanks.

Leah

I know *exactly* what you mean!!!

Okay, adding in the last few people, should have the spreadsheets up tonight (that'll be tomorrow morning for your normal people). There's still room to join, to speak up if you want to play!

I'd like to change my limiter from swimming to nutrition. I recognize myself in all the posts that talk about tackling the food thing. Eating after dinner knocks out all my good work during the day.

I'm committing to planning my food and eating to plan for 20 days in December. That gives me some leeway for the season.

I'm looking forward to the challenge--and it's sure going to be one!
