I came down with a head cold that sucked the life out of me all weekend.  I had a couple Nyquil nights.  Luckily it seems to be getting better and hope to be back to 100% in the next couple days.

I did have to shorten my long run up on Sunday but still tracking ok.  I missed my hockey game last night for some extra sleep and got an extra run in this AM for team Ice Hockey.  You see where my loyalty lies .

Nyquil was also my friend last week. Got my first run for the team today. Felt good and cleared my nose quite a bit . We had black ice on the trail but i have sharp edges so no mishap .

Fourth session done today. It was so much fun. 4.25 miles in the freezing cold. I thought I was going to lose my pinkies to frost bite.

Did it snow up your way?  Just that cold cold rain here - forced me into gym on the treadmill on Sat and Sun...

Yes. Nothing stuck. And it was very light. We are expecting more snow tonight.

It was my 5th session today, not 4th.

7 miles on the treadmill yesterday...  not fun, but it got done...

Plan is for 4 miles after work today - iffy on whether it has to be another treadmill run or I get to hit the pavement - I don't do windy, rainy, and temps in the mid 30's well....

way to get it done!!!

I have been on Treadmill avoidance the last couple of days.  I don't do rain well either but I do the windy or cold.  Get some strange looks as I head outside to run the last couple of days (15 Monday and 22 today) - the folks in the gym just don't get it.  Besides I need to double up and get CWWC points too.

I spent may to august 2010 in OZ when it was your winter . Lovely country and people . Brisbane is pretty warm now i bet . I am now back in Los Angeles . I am itching to get my running started too . Lets hope tomorrow is a go.

Actually today was the second coldest December day on record. Max temp of 19.3 degrees Celsius (66F) when usual December days te max is usually 30-35 C (85-95F).

My girlfriend and I went the the USA in October - LA, San Diego, Phoenix, grand canyon, Vegas, Yosemite, San Fran and New York. We had an amazing time. The weather was getting a bit in the cool side in NY but the rest of the time it was lovely.

You hit some great USA spots . I still need to visit Yosemite .

Got a second run in but today to mix it up I went for a swim in an outdoor pool . there was frost on the grass and a lot of steam coming off the water surface. the course was set up for 50m so it was hard to see the other side . Needless to say i did not hang around the deck when i was done swimming.!

Got a 5 miler in at lunch today.  It is going to be the coldest week so far here in MI and maybe we can finally get some snow on the ground.  I cannot remember it ever taking this long to get some snow.  Friday and Saturday we have a high of 26 degrees F and supposed to get some lake affect snow from Lake Michigan...yeah!

I was getting excited until you said lake effect. That stuff won't make it this far across the state. We need some major blizzard conditions! Nothing like running trails on 1+ feet of accumulation with some big flakes in the air.

I think I'm adjusting to the cold. I overdressed for my run this evening, and I didn't get out there until almost 11:00. 30 minute run.

Hey everyone! Off to a slow start this month as I did something to my hammy but got out there this morning - dark, quiet and 1 degree!  I think that translates to about 33 degrees F.  It was nice but I'm itching for some snow.  Makes the darkness seem less dark

Got 5 miles in this morning.  It was Florida cold -42* (36 with wind chill)   Great running weather.  Tomorrow we should be back up to normal temps - which is good running weather.  All in all, a perfect time of year to train in Florida.

I think it sounds like fun, too. I would love to run dressed as Santa.

Ann-Marie -- you are doing an awesome job on your running this month.

Session today was very short --15 minutes. My right shin was hurting after my run yesterday and I have an 8-10 mile run scheduled for tomorrow, so I just wanted to get out there tonight, not much more.

I hope everyone has a terrific evening.
