It will be me and my mom, and we're not picky- just lots of carbs  I like the sound of Vinny T's. Should we get reservations? Around 6:00 works for me. Coach 10487 Boston, MA | Subject: RE: Boston Marathon It seems only Rick, Alaina and Alaina's Mom ( ) are up for a carbo load dinner so another option could be to meet at the BM Expo at the Hynes Convention center on Saturday so you guys can pick up your package and then we can grab a bite in the many places around Back Bay. Then you can all relax and do whatever on Sunday. Rick, Alaina - If you guys would still like to do the carbo dinner I'll be happy to make reservation at Vinny Ts. I'll need the fuel anyway as I'll be riding the BM course back and forward early AM and then do a transition run before heading to the finish line and cheer/wait for you! |

Count me in for sure! I'm also planning on driving the course on Sunday before dinner to get a real idea of what I'm in for. I just watched a "3 minute tour" of the course which was cool, but really didn't give a sense of what the course is truly like which a drive will do. I really want to see what the Newton Hills are like ......... |

Champion 8903 | Subject: RE: Boston Marathon The weather forecast for the Boston area next Monday is not good. Cold temperatures (30's), rain, possibly mixed with snow, high winds, potential for flooding conditions. Be advised as far as clothing to bring. Some sort of disposable rain gear (trash bags) to wear while you are huddling around waiting for the start. Also use old sweat pants and sweat shirt that you feel you can discard. The clothing is collected and donated to charity. Good luck to all the BT-ers who are running. I'm still hoping to be at the start in Hopkinton, hopefully carrying some sort of balloon so I'll be easier to spot. |

I'm going to bring it to the Athlete's village with me, and so if you see a skinny, nervous looking chic wearing black capri's and a bright pink top holding a funky smiley-face umbrella, come say hi! I won't have my phone or anything, but I would love to hang out with some BTers before the race. Eeek! I can't wait! |

I rent from the studio, so I can arrange appointments at any time. If you'd prefer I bring my table to you, then that can also be an option (it will just cost more). I am a personal trainer and massage therapist, so I am familiar with this work. I am also licensed by the city of Boston. I have no interest in fighting the crowds (and possibly weather) to work at the runner's village area. But, if you need a massge, I'd be happy and willing to help out. | New user 7 | Subject: RE: Boston Marathon Boston... Windy, a little wet, a bit nippy at times. All in all though, not as bad as predicted. I got to the start line late and got stuck in the back of the pack. It took about six miles to find consistant clear running room. I managed to make up the lost time and finish at 3:29:36. 58 seconds under last year and quick enough to requalify for next year. Great race support. Great town. Cheers, Rick |
