Yes, I only ran 1.7 miles in 25 minutes today. I did it while carrying on a conversation with my 10yo daughter, though.

She informed me that I will do our 5k along side her so she has somebody to talk to.

She also lemme know she is NOT backing out. She "just has to have that finisher's medal!"

Weighed in today in my uniform. Before starting "DOWN," I would weigh in at 252 in my uniform thanks to the steel toed combat boots, flashlight, multi-tool, and various useful items crammed into my pockets. Today, I weighed 245. :-)

Yes, Jim.....I know I owe a pic

Was not feeling great yesterday and came home made myself a "green juice"...spinach, cucumber, cilantro, cabbage, and celery with a bit of ginger....felt much better.  Have noticed my cravings are starting to get under control and I'm less hungry.

?

I'm an impatient guy. :-) For a guy who dislikes the texture and flavor of most any green food, you "green juice" sounds horrible. LOL The more mileage I add tomy runs, the more insatiable my appetite gets. Fortunately, some guys at work have been bringing in a lot of smoked venison... LOVE that stuff, and I don't feel guilty eating a lot because it has a really low saturated fat content!

If I made you my green juice and just threw in an apple, you would not taste any of the "green"

Congrats on the uniform weigh-in!

I've been out sick this week as well.  What is this monolauran, is it a vitamin?

Yesterday, I tried the vegan thing (Engine 2 diet).  I was vegan for a day.  Today is day 2.  I am not going full vegan until after Thanksgiving (come on, I'm not that crazy obsessed).   I plan on going full on November 26 for the 28 day plan, which will take me to Christmas.  Then I am going to forgive myself if I slip a little over Christmas eve/day.

It's a supplement, honesty didn't research it before buying, I was so panicked about not getting sick.  But all I can say is it worked!

Good luck to you!  This might help http://support.pcrm.org/site/PageServer?pagename=21day_vegan_kickstart

I have a client who has  Fibromyalgia (tenderness in joints and muscles) and she said her symptoms declined when she went Vegan.  I'm not Vegan but I like a lot of the science I read about it.

Hi all! Sorry I haven't been around much. I'll try to be better about it, because I know my focus is better when I am more active on these forums. Plus, you all are awesome!

Congratulations to those who are losing!

I have been losing very very slowly, but I really need to stick with better food choices and consistency with my workouts. Something is better than nothing, and I think I need to keep that in mind while getting back to a daily habit of exercise.

Have a great day everyone!

My butt is in mine but my muffin top is REALLY annoying!!!  For the first time I might have to do a fashion show of running outfits to see what will feel/look best while running my half.  My RUNNING clothes are even getting tight and they are all stretchy! ;(

Happy Friday!

Sorry - I'm pretty MIA around here during the week... I read the posts but never get a chance to respond.  Everyone's doing really awesome!

So ... this week I re-lost 2 pounds.  Yay!  I'm back down to my lowest during this challenge.

Hopefully I'm back on track.  I really want to break the 150 mark by the end of the month (which means, of course, mostly behaving myself on Thanksgiving).

I really need to start working out -- I've been doing close to nothing, other than the 10 mile race this past weekend.  Basically I feel like a big ol' slug and really want to do nothing more than go to sleep most days once I get home (which, because I'm single, I do).  Ever since the time change it's been like this.  I'm hoping I snap out of it SOON.

Hey everyone! I've also been MIA this week, sorry. Had a taper week, and went overboard with it. Somehow, I still managed to lose a half pound. That means, since starting this effort, I've lost 5.5 lbs.

On a lighter and less relevent note: received an early Christmas present from my amazing wife last night. Got my new Timex Global Trainer! Man, I hope I like it.

Down 9 pounds from last week.  I would be concerned about the large amount of weight lose but I am eating a lot of food, just good food.

I haven't been able to run for about 2 weeks now due to a foot injury so I have placed my focus on swimming and biking.  So far it seems to be working.  I do seem to be losing weight in different areas that in the past.  I am not losing much belly fat but my legs and butt are showing a lot of fat lose.  The butt fat lose is causing me more pain on my longer bikes.  Last time I was this weight I had much less belly fat and no pain with biking.  Maybe my body handles weight lose different as I get older.

Tomorrow is the start of deer season and I will be gone for 4 days.  I think next week may not be as good as the last few weeks.

Good luck everyone and have a good weekend.

Anyone else having problems with the spreadsheet?  I tried entering my weight but the field stays blank.

I noticed when I was putting my weight in this morning, that the color selection had been changed. So it might not be blank, just the wrong color.
