I have two kids 10 and 12 and we tried going to a race together and it messed with my focus. (All of them expected me to handle everything for them and I was busy trying to organize and then execute a race). So I would hav to do this solo.

I'll give it more thought after the weekend.

I now have the added pressure of knowing that you all are going to follow us on Sunday! That is going to make my slow run worse! (Or I might just have to do well. There is always a first! Run-wise that is).

So now you know that when you are feeling like rubbish, we don't care.... RUN FASTER!  You can feel like rubbish after the race!  GO GET EM'!

When I knew the group was tracking me,  that served as a great motivator!!!  We are supporting you Doug and don't forget it!! No judging involved, except maybe from Birdy

I can wait on the REV3....I already got the green light from all parties so I am in.

Doug, Tracy, and John~  If you think about it and get the chance, any chance you guys can post your race numbers?  If it rains and my wife doesn't want to go to her client's brunch, I'll definitely be there!  One of the benefits of being a golf pro - a very dry rain suit.

I THINK I am in for the Oly.  Even though I am working like crazy right now I am in a MAJOR cash crunch since I do tons of work for colleges and universities and they are notoriously slow to cut checks....when does this race usually fill up?  And can someone comment on the course?  I looked at the web-site and couldn't get a lot from there.

It would be AWESOME to have a big turnout by the MG and seeing everyone would make that a very special race weekend.

HTFU!!! Get out there and race in whatever the day brings!

Well MG I am about to hit the road for GA. I will have my laptop so hopefully I can check in with y'all. I am bringing my wife's digital camera but uploading the pics will have to wait until I get back.

Thanks for the support! I will be thinking of all of you out there. This is my first half, my first tri outside of NC, and maybe my first in the rain. I am looking forward to the experience.

Funny thing was I was really sad as I pulle dout of my driveway this AM, as being away from my wife and kids for something not work-related is a real downer. I am going to miss them, but they were stoked to learn they could follow my progress on-line.
