Felicia, I hope your surgical sites heal up well and quickly.

Joanne, sorry to hear about your Marathon, but glad to hear that you should be able to do the 10k.

Jo, congrats on the long ride, that is awesome!

Chad, I hope your race went well; your friend is lucky to have a friend such as you.

Elesa, very cool about your not-for-profit.  Sounds like a great cause.

Yanti, have you packed your bike?

Jen, I really hope it isn't a stress fracture, but if it is, take care of it.  Two words: Aqua jogging.  Sorry to hear about your other injuries...and I hope your kitty is ok too!

I think that catches me up.

It's obviously not wireless, so I'd have to wrap the cord around the top tube. Not digging that idea Undecided

Any idea if the cable is long enough? Even remotely close? For me it would be worth it, but more to have an idea of the effort than the mileage. Time works quite well for duration. I'm not sure if you're someone who wants to mess with that sort of thing.

No idea, but it looks pretty wrapped up. Might be longer than it seems.

Yes. Where is my "push" really getting me? Is my effort on trainer comparable to what I'm doing on the road? Am I really using it to improve for the road?

Well, bike's on trainer all week anyway. Not going to hurt to try

Any trickiness to moving it to back wheel?

Not really. The only question I can think of is if the signal has enough range as it'll be farther away. I know of cateye, but not as familiar with their stuff. Older or more entry level things may not be as strong there, but don't know until you try.

It is wireless ... right?

Really basic Velo 5. By looks of the cord wrapped around the brake cable, I don't think it's "wireless".

Can you get one that is specific for the rear wheel for Silver and put the Velo 5 on Harry?

Hey everyone. Long lost manatee here. I'm back at work, with extra duties; classes started last Wednesday; I had out-patient surgery last Tuesday; all three kids are back at their schools (finally); hubby is still jet setting around the country teaching stuff to people. My house is a disaster. My training since surgery is in the toilet. My arms look like I got into a serious bar brawl . . . and lost. And now my wounds are itching like crazy.

So no swimming for a while.

Absolutely no biking outside, but I may try to get on the spin bike at the gym, without going into aero.

I ran last night for the first time since surgery. I was so afraid I would fall and mess up my arms even more, but I managed to keep on my feet. I had a couple deep lypomas on the underside of my upper left arm, and those spots are giving me a bit of trouble. They hurt while running, and it's difficult to stretch to reach things. The bruising there is particularly alarming.

But at least the most obvious lypomas are gone. My family claims they never noticed them. Whatever.

I made the local paper (not because of my lypoma issues), but I can't get the picture to paste, so you'll just have to take my word for it. :-)

I'm on drugs for my menopause symptoms. Hooray.

I think that gets everyone up to date. I will try to be a better pod mate.

My husband is a walking lypoma - lumpy lumpy lumpy!  Doc says unless they interfere with his daily life leave them and they dont.  i had one on my back (growing back) which is painful sometimes seems to sit on a nerve.

I had one on my finger that hurt - got that one removed.  Weird old stuff.

Good for you tackle that menopause and tell it to fach off.

I fell down the stairs this morning. I have rug burn on my left forearm and I'm going to have a nasty bruise on my hip and butt in a few days. I also have a nasty claw mark/bruise from when I tried to rescue my cat from a dog on Saturday.

When it rains, it pours, huh?  I'm trying not to get down, but sometimes it's hard.

Holy moley what a catalogue of catastrophes.  So update us on the stress fracture - hopefully you're mistaken.

Falling down the stairs in the morning - not alcohol related - not cool.

Rug burn without out horizontal 'yoga' is not cool.

Claw marks also not cool.

Heal quickly!

IM Melbourne no change fro $1000 - which at the time was the same as USD$1000.  Awesome.  if I take the full 16.59.59 it's not quite 2 cents a second.
