I am very close to having clearance from the flight deck just working on the details! Also, working on my training schedule and trying to get everything to fit with my OS and still be ready for my A race next year. Count me in for the HIM! I have clearance to go, but I still have to convince my husband to bring the family down. Me: "It's family-friendly!" Him: "7 hours in the car? Not family-friendly." Good point! WOW!!! And just like that [SNAP!] she goes from zero HIMs to TWO HIMs. Nice work, Julia!! |

Master 1478 Horseheads, NY | Subject: RE: swbkrun Mentor Group- CLOSED FOR BUSINESS!!! Had to fly to Kentucky last night for work so I haven't got to read up on all the weekend racers but just wanted to say congrats to everyone. I saw great times from the Augusta racers and sounds like DJ rocked her sprint and learned some too. I am looking forwarding to reading catching up on these and the other races reports. Awesome job to all! |

HIM. ;-) Plus do you really want to spend all that money and effort getting down there to race an Oly??? I know Tony and Sam are doing it, but they are traveling machines...us Midwesterners are lucky to travel once or maybe twice a year....and you can sub 8 the run and kick the crap out me.... HIM BABY or bust. You may want to rethink that statment. I sense that it may be incorrect. |

Don't think I could be ready for a Half by then, I haven't been in the pool for almost a year because of the shoulder issues and I am not going to take a chance on screwing that up....besides...I have never done an Oly. I went straight from Sprints to a HIM so I am excited at the prospect of doing this distance.

I am still a "maybe", but thought I would throw in this picture from this years event: Has anyone read the racetalk thread about last years race? I don't want to say much more, but it gets interesting on page 3. FYI: There were only 400-450 people racing this year as the Olympic is the feature race. |
