billsorg - 2010-01-28 5:46 AM Its seems like the Tased and Confused gang has bounced back to life, your's truly included.  Fun story this morning... got up for a 45 min drainer ride.  I was 30+ minutes into it when my wife came down to the "pain cave" to notify me that our cat, Butterscotch, had a mouse trapped in our linen closet.  Well, fatherly/husbandly/gross duties take precedent, so I went to conquer this ferocious beast.  With plastic bag in hand, I opened the closet door to see this nasty little creature scurrying around.  Butterscotch was having a blast with her new friend.  After I finished screaming like a tween girl that just caught a glimpse of Joe Jonas, I wrestled it (the mouse, not Butterscotch) into the bag.  I will spare you the rest of the details, but let's just say Mickey won't be getting in his workouts today.

Did you log it in your sports activities as "wrestling"?  LOL - great story!

Got in three sports today...  A swim that included a 1000yd TT (improved by a little over 2 minutes since Dec 6), a 50 min trainer ride followed by a short brick run of 1.6 miles...

Goal is two workouts tomorrow....

Wow! Strong work there Andy!

ebshot - 2010-01-28 7:32 AM What's everyone up to today?  I have a run/trainer on the schedule.  Also making bread and cleaning as usual.  I lead such a fun and exciting life, no?
Almost as exciting as mine: office notes to finish from yesterday, strength training at 10:30, consult gig at noon, schelp 17 yo, run easy 5, get spin music ready, make dinner, teach spin at 8 (20'TT tonight)--you might notice the phrase clean house just never seems to come up! :P

mmmm....homemade bread....

I actually made some on Tuesday - chocolate/peanutbutter/oatmeal - it's pretty darn good (to me)  My wife isn't a fan and the kids prefer cake - which is just fine with me!

I finally got the sheet updated.  10 more running miles and I'm there.  Have league bball tonight, so I usually don't run as much, but we'll see what kind of time I have at lunch.  meeting with the boss at 10 regarding our grant application.  Lots of work to do here, so I better get my heiney in gear.

I have lunch with a vendor today followed by a three hour meeting (ZZZZZZZZZZ!), so I won't get in an afternoon workout.  I'm aiming for 2 workouts tomorrow... treadmill in the AM, swim at lunch.  That will put me over 100% for the month.

That's why you have a 17yo...  Free labor!  (their reward is to be able to give you attitude and to roll their eyes for a real reason....)

Running tonight.  Not sure if it will be inside or outside.  Depends on what the weather is like this afternoon.

I would put it in my training log as 4 separate workouts: 2 bike, 2 run.  Not sure about how to log it for the challenge.

I would think that each counts as its own session (are you logging sessions?) Time is time, regardless of how the workout is structured. If in real doubt, contact Dee.

Had a great run today.  I am tired of running slow.  I have no idea where my (relative) speed went so for today's 4 mile tempo run, I decided to really push it.  I had my first sub 10:00 m/m average pace in awhile!   And as an added bonus, my hip didn't yell at me too much.

Now on to the trainer for the afternoon.

I always get to 100%....I am just a little competitive like that....the snow has stopped but it is getting colder....like falling towards the 20s....okay, SIUB, get going now!!!

5k at lunch 10:30 pace  - first time to have no walk breaks since my knee injury back in October...  WOO HOO!!!  Will hit the drainer tonight back on Jorge's plan...  maybe will try to brick the drainer ride, but that depends on the temp / precip situation at the time...

Well, if a "session" can be as little as 15 minutes, then to me this sounds like 4 bike sessions/2 run sessions/4 bike sessions/2 run sessions... just stop for 1 second in between each "15 minute session"... thus, you've just completed 12 sessions... Good work, Andy!Smile

I'm buying! (Wait, hold on. Let me make sure you don't live around the corner before I say that.... Hmmmm.)
