Resend me your address and I can send some your way.

It's totally cheesy and is from the HS perspective (they had HS and college at the same time although slightly different distances as HS runs 5K vs 6K or 8K) but you get the idea of what the start, the course and the finish are like.

Am I a dork if my HR goes up and I get goosebumps?

Don't answer that.

That start! Heart. Thumping. Out. Of. Chest. *gulp*

Yes. I mean no, I mean no comment.

It's pretty awesome, right!?!?! I can't wait for the next one.

Ahhhh, young speedy things. They're like a herd of gazelles...wonder what would happen if you threw in a cheetah?

Anyone else see the kid run into the tree? Good thing he wasn't racing in AZ; that would've been a cactus. Wink

How in the fach did I miss that?  Must rewatch.

BTW, Erin, I have never in my life had trouble eating.  Never.

Do you think the heat has anything to do with it?  How do you feel about cold soup? Like a good gazpacho, watercress, or vichyssoise? Great on the bike food, btw.

I don't even think most of these kids are very gazelle-like.

I was just showing what a typical cross country race looks like, lol and yeah, that includes trees. I had to duck some low branches for sure. And I'm not very tall.

I'm pretty sure I look exactly like them - especially the person who ran into the tree (which i actually couldn't find).

I don't usually either! May be just tired of the weather. Ate fine over the weekend in Zion. Got home and dropped off again. Could be schedule changes with workout adding to heat weariness.

Anything with "soup" makes me think of hot food in cold weather, which is absolutely wrong in my world right now. I know, it's totally mental...and quite silly because I like iced coffee. Sealed

OK...I though he ran his left shoulder into the tree as he went by. After watching in slow-mo, he gracefully tripped on the roots.

Ads?  What ads?   Free membership + Mac = "no ads"    Cool

Don't mind me, after almost two hundred years civilization has come to the small town that I live in.   As of this evening, one can buy beer in the town limits and a Pizza Hut has opened for business.       I have availed myself of freedom of choice.     Pizza + beer = "happy, sated glow."

Now for business.     The weather forecast for this Saturday is 70% chance of thunderstorm.    That means no cotton whatsoever and maybe a cheap rain poncho to be stuffed in my saddle bag.   The ride has over 5000 ft of climb with one 1200 climb over one particular three mile stretch.     I plan to enjoy myself.   Wonder if I will be the only one riding a tri bike.    Still have the 11-30 on the back wheel.    Might be slower times than I would like.   Slick pavement and all that.   I'm smart.  I learn from the mistakes of others....   Cool    No more concussions, if you please.     Wonder if I can borrow some body armor from the motocross boys?

Took dad to the VA hospital in Birmingham.   They re-assessed his condition and have moved him up in priority.  Won't know the date of the surgery until Monday.   See signature lines....

*Dives back into his introverts shell*

So the DH and a few others from BT are now in Vegas for a weekend of debauchery and here I sit at home being faching steamed with him (he's the cook in our house) as I went to actually use the oven tonight, preheated it to bake some chicken breasts for lunch tomorrow, only to open the oven door once the oven was heated to have a MASSIVE plume of smoke come out and set off the fire alarm.

Excellent.

It takes approximately 2.5 seconds from when the alarm goes off until it alerts the fire department which is one block away from the condo and then they're at our place within 3 minutes unless you call their "stand down" number in time.  Yeah, guess who DOESN'T have that number.

Hello fire department.  Again.

Hello fire department.  Again.

Yeeps!  Well, are any of the firefighters cute at least?

Been kind of MIA lately, I have been keeping up but not posting.  The dog I am sitting gets 2 longish walks a day (well, not really in distance, there is lots of sniffing and peeing, but 45min to an hour) and work is stupid this week and next...plus I am teaching a Pet First Aid course on Saturday...holy schamoly!

Tonight I went for my first group run.  I volunteered to be a group leader for a 10k clinic that just started.  Basically I am just taking the clinic and being encouraging to others.  I have never run with a group, or even anyone for more than a run here and there, so it is a new experience for me.  I think I will enjoy it.

I know someone else said the same thing recently, but I too would like to thank the daily or very regularly inspire-ers.  I'm sorry I don't reply more regularly.

i'm glad i'm not the only one that that happens to! What i really like is when all the neighbors come out to see why the fire trucks - they always send multiple, are at the house.  Another fun thing is getting to sign the report that says something like, "no fire, it's just Ann-Marie trying to cook".

Did he happen to catch the Super Sprint yesterday?! http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2013/09/sprint-triathlon-grand.html

We made it - it's finally FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I'll take the day off from training in lieu of tomorrow's long run. **YAWN** Guess I'll get to work on time then too.

Have a great day all - and a great weekend!

Again.

This is hilarious!  I'm laughing with you.  I swear.

Maybe salad while the man's away? ;)
