Good day all, I hope the weekend gets here as quickly as possible for all of you. I got in a run and a ride this morning, saddle 2 from Adamo has been tested. Pretty nice stuff, I'm not sure my tush could tell you the difference between the two of them just yet, but I think there were some tiny differences. Review will be written on FB later this morning. I have a late day, so I am going to cleanup, return the demo saddles and head into the office. But first, an offering from the Dalai Lama via his twitter feed:

"Fear that makes us run from a mad dog is useful and necessary, whereas fear rooted in mistrust is unhelpful and needs to be overcome."

Michael, I hope all goes as well as possible for your father.

Monica, I hope your condo is standing when DH gets home.

Stay safe, stay fit, and stay happy.

Excellent.

It takes approximately 2.5 seconds from when the alarm goes off until it alerts the fire department which is one block away from the condo and then they're at our place within 3 minutes unless you call their "stand down" number in time.  Yeah, guess who DOESN'T have that number.

Hello fire department.  Again.

bwahahahaha! So do you have a bottle of wine in each hand now? Laughing

You'd better believe there will be wine tonight - I already picked up a bottle on the way TO work to ensure it would be available for consumption directly after work.  Cool

Hello fire department.  Again.

i'm glad i'm not the only one that that happens to! What i really like is when all the neighbors come out to see why the fire trucks - they always send multiple, are at the house.  Another fun thing is getting to sign the report that says something like, "no fire, it's just Ann-Marie trying to cook".

Thankfully I was able to meet them downstairs and convince them that it was all my hubby's fault and that it wouldn't happen again.... or at least not until the next time I try to cook.

This discussion is interesting to me. I've never lived in a place where the FD actually responds to a home smoke alarm.

Oh, and microwave popcorn can certainly smoke. One of the ladies in my office does it regularly! Maybe just do wine Laughing

Oooooh I'm excited to try the new micro-brewery tonight!!!!!

woot! woot! 8:30am and it's only 71* out Laughing My son has the day off, so we're going to the park. I'm doing an extremely slower than usual trot with the stroller while he rides his bike.

HAPPY FRIDAY!

Hello all, this is Yanti's training bike #2. She prattles endlessly about you guys and has had me drinking from your mug. She has somehow infected me with her particular brand of madness and I am now seriously contemplating attempting an ironman.

YAY!  Kingsley has joined the dysfunctional family!!

Welcome to the madness.  Sometimes we're a little more mad than others, but I'm sure with being Training Bike #2 for Her Yantiness, you'll fit in just fine.

As a person who's done 1IM, doing another in 5 weeks, and signed up for next year's already... I'd say why the heck not do an IM?!?  (just don't let Yanti near one for a while, m'kay?Laughing

Thankfully, I've never made popcorn smoke *finds pressed particle-board with a lovely wood-like veneer finish to rap on* but I guess there's always a first time?

As there's every possibility that I bought a bottle of wine before work this morning, there will definitely be wine tonight.

Micro-brewery sounds fabulous - have fun!

So, that's what what " training bike #2" means. Welcome to the pod. Our discussions probably break down something in the area of 10% training and 90% anything else you can think of, usually involving alcohol, piglets, and/ or shoe purchases.

My kids love the whole SHR CD.  It's actually quite useful.  I consider it part of our homeschooling curriculum.   That and a Here Comes Science from TMBG and you pretty much have 1-3 grade nailed.
