The event that I'm training for is the Rock Y Road 50/50 in Oct. 50 miles of mountain biking followed by 50 miles of road riding. The 50 miles of MTB include the AZ trail and one of the most technically difficult trails in Tucson, La Milagrosa. Then the 50 miles of road are climbing straight up Mt. Lemmon to Mile 19 and back down. It's going to take me all day to complete this ride, so I'm training on the trails now. If I survive this, I'll be one more step closer to the AZT300. |
