OK Dina, I posted on the "I was chicked" thread.

I said I wouldn't, but somehow I got sucked in.

I added my own A-hole comment that does nothing to help the conversation! I am the Honey Badger!

We lost our internet connection last night. Sheesh, I had to resort to watching T.V. for entertainment.

1 hour swim today then helping my sister and her family paint their house. They are moving from IL to Oklahoma this summer!

Got back on the bike this morning.  Just a short spin on the trainer to get the legs working a little.  Recovery is coming along and I'll probably try to run this weekend.  Next goal is to get the P3 set-up and figure out a race to christen it in.

Nothing too exciting for me.  Got in a little (very little) ride this am as my recovery week continues.  The good news is this weekend affords me some extra time away from training to play 18 holes of golf.  Looking forward to it and should be a good time.

Also, I read the "I got chicked" thread.  Some pretty entertaining stuff there I must say!

2 hour tempo ride on the trainer this morning (its still raining outside, we're going on 5 straight days) and a 70 minute run tonight with 6 x 1/2 mile repeats tonight.  Per the coach, the goal is to start the repeats at 3:15 (6:30 min/mile pace) and work them down to 3:00 (6:00 min/mile pace).  I haven't done very much fast running so it will be interesting (and a big confidence builder) if I can pull this workout off well.

I have a question for everybody.  I eat pretty strictly according to the "core diet," which is essentially paleo for atheltes with some dairy and legumes.  Because of this I tend to eat a lot of the same things over and over again.  Today is a pretty typical (and often repeated) day for me:

M1 (pre-bike) -- 3 pancakes & strawberries
M2 (bike) -- 2 bottled Ironman Perform
M3 (post-bike) -- 2 scoops Endurox
M4 (10 a.m.) -- Yogurt, carrots & strawberries
M5 (1 p.m.) -- Salmon, asparagus & apple
M6 (4 p.m.) -- Turkey burger, broccoli & 6 prunes
M7 (pre-run) -- Power bar
M8 (run) -- 1 bottle Ironman Perform
M9 (post-run) -- 2 scoops Endurox
M10 (9 p.m.) -- 2 Eggs & Spinach

I was wondering what everyone else eats on a daily basis while training.  I'm really curious if I can discover some new things to add to the rotation.

Typical Mon-Fri is something like this:

Either 2 packets of oatmeal or two pop tarts, OJ, water
pretzels for a snack
subway for lunch - yogurt or apples, foot long chicken or ham w/veg, 2 chocolate chip cookies
Peanut M&M's and a diet coke
Dinner is whatever - pizza, eat out, Mac cheese, soup, etc sometimes with a beer or glass of wine and something sweet - Mike & Ikes are my current favorite.

So my diet is pretty bad.

I eat pretty much the same kind of things everyday not due to any diet restriction but simply due to convenience. I pack all my ffod for the week on Sunday and bring it to my office. In general, it's all whole, organic foods. This is what I currently do during the week, if I were in IM training it would be a bit different.
Breakfast- Nothing. I find this helps stimulate my metabolism and does not have a negative effect on my morning training which is usually a swim and maybe a run once per week. If I was in IM training, I usually have a bowl of Kashai Go-Lean cereal with skim milk. 2 cups of coffee.
Post swim/run- Low fat greek yougrt with a little stevia sprinkled in and a banana.
Pre-Lunch snakck- an apple and an orange
Lunch- a salad with spinich, cherry tomatoes, raw chopped brocolli, baby carrots, chopped yellow peppers, chopped onion, chicken (from a can), alfalfa sprouts, olive oil, and balsamic vinegear.
Post afternoon bike/run- If it's a session under 90 min., just coconut water. If it's a big session, I'll make a GU Brew Revovery drink.
Dinner- Fish at least 4x per week, chicken, sometimes a steak, with a fresh veggie and a startch like potatoe or rice. We also do pasta once per week with ground turkey, turkey burgers. On the weekends Jamie makes more elaborate dinners.

I get into a routine because I make most of my food on the weekends and bring it in to work (where I actually do most of my eating for the day).

I don't let Shaun cook, too messy and dangerous.

bryancd - 2011-05-19 1:58 PM ...oh, and a nice Pinot Noire with dinner.

Was so good it needed to be mentioned twice?

I drink so little now that one glass of wine gets me nice and toasty.

Its a QR CD.01 Size ML.

I got the high end frame set and built it up with SRAM Red and a Quarq.  Race wheels are HED 3s (obviously).

If anyone is looking for a SRAM red compact crank set with a BB30 bottom bracket, I have one lying around (we pulled the crank to instal the Quarq).
