PennState - 2009-11-25 1:56 PM Actually I'd be extremely happy if we all pushed each other to PRs!!!

THAT would be glorious!!!

Does this race qualify for Clearwater 70.3?

As of today I think a 2:20 hr bike + sub 1:20hr run = 3:40 hrs is doable with the added bonus that I'll beating GPS on the swim!
Highly unlikely! My only goal for this race is to come out of the water faster than you, Fred & Tasr. In a sleeveless wetsuit to boot. I will not be faster than Dan and I will definitely be faster than Rick. I'm going for it....

bring it... it will be fun as a triathlete and non-swimmer to beat a former PSU swimmer!

Can't the coach always botch the training plan giving their athlete not adequate swim volume in order to beat them out of the water

I have a bunch of State College friends coming up for the race as well... I am really looking forward to Eagleman!

I forgot about that.  Anthony is going to be a crusher on the bike.

PennState - 2009-11-25 2:18 PM Only way I beat Dan on the swim???

Well let's just say it would need to involve some significant sabotage of his wetsuit and goggles... perhaps attaching a parachute?

I would have to agree with you 100%

His swim today was 1:16 per 100 w/every 5th a backstroke.

Yes, Bob is also in for Eagleman... although Anthony has the better bike IMO

Bob Saylor or Bob Furmanek?

That pic Tasr has climbing the big shall we call it hill at Savageman has Furmanek right in front of him.

I think Ben Lawrence might be coming down but isn't racing.  Don't know he biked with you guys that day Tasr came up.

Still kicking everyone of your a's out fo the water.   except dan....but that's ok, i'll catch that pretty p4 on the bike!

The 5 State College girls i'm bringing down are having a little smack talk amongst ourselves!

docswim24 - 2009-11-25 1:41 PM I'd go for a 6 pack from each person to the fastest OA and another 6 pack from each person to the fastest bike split.

I won't take this bet.  But I'll bet that I drink more beer between now and race day than anyone else!

Sorry I missed the recent smack!

I have no idea how I will do on this course--haven't done a "flat" race since my first HIM.  The good news is that barring disaster, I will get a PR.

I expect most of you will beat me out of the swim (well, not Rick ).  But with Fred aiming for 2:15 on the bike, I expect I will be running him and Dan down towards the finish.  Can you guys hang on?

Not sure how I'll stack up against James on the bike & run.  But he's old, anyway.

I will have to hope Jorge breaks his leg getting out of the water if he's included.  That, or get some roller blades for the run.

You called this, JK.

Yeah, James is old.  He's no threat.  Plus, he has NO idea how to bike on flat.  The dude lives on hills.  And his run is about the same as last year, like 10 min/miles.

Jorge--those little chicken legs can run.  I swear i've never seen a single pic of him with his feet on the ground.  He's got a broken wing though, so he's gonna get his azz kicked on the swim.  By yours truly.

Rick--i heard he's selling his bike and racing on a Huffy.  So if he wins, he gets double the winnings in beer.

Fred thinks he's hot stuff now on his new slice.  He rides with me on his recovery days and even wears his aero helmet while riding that steel roadie.  Next he's gonna be in a drag suit with his new gary hall technique.

Dan--he just needs to not blow up.  Long distance demons come out to play with Dan.

And for the 5 chicas coming down from State College to grace the presence of EMan, should any of you happen to finish before us, which is of course not likely, can you just be ready with a margarita and some nail polish in case ours has chipped?  2.4 miles was no good for nails, hopefully we won't have such issues with 1.2.  We also like foot massages.
