Hmm - another gadget with more feedback?

I'm game.  I also work with a coach who is interested in this type of feedback and I could enlist him if you wanted his feedback as well.

Living in FL we deal with heat a lot.  I'd be very interested in helping out.  Besides I'm an engineer and always looking for more data.

Count me in if you can stand having another patent attorney try it out. Laughing  You are doing the right thing by checking with your patent attorney before disclosing the details. Good luck.

I'd love to have seen my numbers at IM Canada...I was in a very very bad place on the bike and lost most of my ability to think beyond the most basic level..I'm thirsty and hot. I think I had the trifecta of bad things going on, sick, very hot, dehydrated due to vomiting and low on calories.

I was getting dehydrated on the bike at IM Canada too, though not to the point of vomiting. I'd also be interested in hearing more about the device.

Full Disclosure:  I don't want everyone getting there hopes up that this product is the next Garmin 305 etc.....remember, we are setting a retail market price below $20.

The device we are working on will indicate changes in body core temprature.  Note this is not your acutal body core temprature, but simply a base number that correlates to body core temp.....during exercise this temprature rises, and the device indicates this change to you.  If you are over exerting yourself or not hydrating properly (thus causing the body to overheat) then your temprature will be indicated in a "hot" zone.  I also have noticed that my temprature seems to increase quickly when I am not feeling well and still exercise....seems to correlate with my HR just the same.

We are working very hard to limit how external factors such as ambiant air temprature affects the device.  This of course will work for both hot and cold climates.  So far we have had some better than expected results with this problem.  Of course one way to fix this permantly would be to allow for the device to be inserted rectally, but for some reason all of you guys don't want to allow for that moderate inconvience........"moooooooon river....using the whole hand there doc?" After an episode I experienced during a run in hot weather this year I would definitely purchase one.  If you need a lab rat in the midwest where ambient weather temps fluctuate regularly, which affect my training and ability to judge when too much is too much...I would be a willing participant.
