Don't worry - me too! It happens.

Today my schedule includes making a nutrition plan for the week. I'm going to sort out my breakfasts/lunches/snacks.

146.6 today
I actually learned something from logging my food this week. I thought my greatest challenge would be eating healthy at work, turns out I consume a lot more calories/fat when I am at home. My husband is a really good cook.

I find it's very easy (or I should say, easier...) to eat well when I'm alone. My husband and I have bad co-eating habits, partially because we prefer different food, which results in going out to eat. When I cook I normally cook healthier items but I'm still working on getting him to eat more diverse foods. His family is very meat and potatos, where I don't really eat meat. I can cook meat anyway, but he's not accustomed to "strange" foods such as quinoa, couscous, eggplant... foods from different ethnic origins... etc.

I made a very yummy Indian dish that's often recommended for caucasians with limited Indian food experience, he took a bite and balked at it. My other friend who was trying it for the first time and is similar to him in taste cleared his plate. I was also trying it for the first time and found it was alright...

I need to get a recipe book designed for hiding nutrition in kids foods. I made him a smoothie recently that I put spinach into without him knowing. I told him after and got this face Yell. He doesn't eat any leafy greens.

I had a carb/sugar weekend.  My brother and family were in town which means a lot of beer was consumed and then my sis-in-law thinks it is a good thing to get me candy for my birthday.  Yeah right...I just eat it.  That explains my weight gain.  Time to get back in line this week and eat right!

I have been lurking on this thread and would like to join if possible.  I am having some minor surgery tomorrow and will not be able to exercise much (no sweating or pool) for the next 3 weeks.  I need to really watch my food intake and do as much as I'm allowed.  I think this thread will keep me honest about the food and not just throw myself a pity and pie party.

My current wt is 135 and my goal for the end of the year is 130. Other data- BT name KOM, real name Kathy

THANKS!!

Flat line is better than what I did this weekend. Sometimes this weight loss thing mystifies me. I did a long run and a hill workout. With the stuff I had to do Saturaday I only got two meals in, then I fasted Sunday. I even restrained myself at dinner last night. I wanted to eat more. It was sooo good. But I held back. Then this morning I weigh in and my weight is up. I just don't get it.

I don't get it either.  I usually just weigh once a week.  So weighing everyday is sure making me more aware of ups/downs or like lately just no change

146.8 today. I try not to worry too much about the daily fluctuations, that's normal, at least I'm headed in the right direction (most days).

Weekends are tough!

Kathy (KOM)  welcome to the challenge.

Anyone seen Shermbelle?  His blog says life took him and shook him last week.  I hope he rolls out of it soon.

Got my run in today and have eaten well so far.  Hopefully the weigh over the weekend was just water!

Interesting chart for my weight loss.  I start recording my weight almost daily since October 13th so i have some data to play with.  If I continue to loos weight at the same rate as I have been since I started weighing myself, I will wiegh 188.6lbs by December 31.  I just need to increase the rate by an extra -0.05lbs/day to meet my goal.  I can do it.  Once this week is over, I will run these stats for each of us to predict final weight.

Yes--I am a nerd.

Hi All!

I think I have been on a challenge team with almost all of you over the past 2 years and look forward to working together again.  As of today I am logging my food on my blog so I feel more accountable.  Knowing that others will know every time I grab a handful of smokehouse almonds or the lonely cookie helps me stop and reconsider if I am really hungry and whether that is what I want to eat.  My key is going to be having better alternatives available at work and at home.  I will be home all week this week so I need to get some easy and healthy stuff in the house.

I "think" he is back Surprised

Yeah life bit me right in the @**

Missed workouts, essentially double work days 3 days in a row= not fun

Life has settled a bit, weight creeped a bit but back on today and will be getting in some solid workouts tonight and daily weigh ins again.
