Pro ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() drewb8 - 2012-07-18 1:44 PM Left Brain - 2012-07-18 11:27 AM President BHO has recently appointed a Golf Czar and major rule changes in the game of golf will become effective September 1,2012 . This is only a preview as the complete rule book (expect 2000 pages) is being rewritten as we speak . Unfortuantely Romney refuses to release his plan but it's expected to contain a rule that only golfers with a handicap lower than 2 will be allowed to play. Everyone else will be a caddy or groundskeeper and grateful d@#n it! Then in two years he will change the rules to the compete opposite and claim he never supported the original ones. Here are a few of the changes . Golfers with handicaps: - below 10 will have their green fees increased by 35% . - between 11 and 18 will see no increase in green fees . - above 18 will get a $20 check each time they play .. The term "gimmie" will be changed to"entitlement" and will be used as follows: - handicaps below 10, no entitlements . - handicaps from 11 to 17, entitlements for putter length putts .. - handicaps above 18, if your ball is on green, no need to putt, just pick it up . These entitlements are intended to bring about fairness and, most importantly, equality in scoring . In addition, a Player will be limited to a maximum of one birdie or six pars in any given 18-hole round . Any excess must be given to those fellow players who have not yet scored a birdie or par . Only after all players have received a birdie or par from the player actually making the birdie or par, can that player begin to count his pars and birdies again . The current USGA handicap system will be used for the above purposes, but the term "net score" will be available only for scoring those players with handicaps of 18 and above . This is intended to "re-distribute" the success of winning by making sure that in every competition, the above 18 handicap players will post only "net score" against every other player's "gross score" . These new Rules are intended to FUNDAMENTALLY CHANGE the game of golf. Golf must be about Fairness . It should have nothing to do with ability, hard work, practice, and responsibility . This is the "Right thing to do. " George Bush will change the rules so that there is a big rush to start the round, but when you get to the first green there will be no hole. The rules will be exactly the same under Clinton's plan, but expect big changes with the girls who drive the refreshment carts. George Bush Sr.'s rules will, um, er.... I got nothin'. haha, love it |

Guess Romney just flicked off every Olympian like Obama did every SBO. “You Olympians, however, know you didn’t get here solely on your own power,” said Romney, who on Friday will attend the Opening Ceremonies of this year’s Summer Olympics. “For most of you, loving parents, sisters or brothers, encouraged your hopes, coaches guided, communities built venues in order to organize competitions. Even "in context" the President sounds pretty bad and doesn't play well. The President and all his people are now doing the "what he really said" tour and trying to make it sound more like Romney's statement above. As a general rule in politics, if you have to come out afterwards and explain what you really meant you are pretty much admitting that you said something dumb. |

Politicians will be politicians. What happens if enough of us who are fed up got together and figured out a way to affect change? Why do we have to settle for the lesser of perceived evils when voting? My ideal candidate would be one who is willing to make the drastic commitments necessary regardless of hurt feelings, only talks about what he/she could accomplish, and ignores the muckraking.

As long as people keep voting for A then B then A then B, there will be no change. Why would they bother to change? They might lose out this time, but the next time it will switch back to them and they can continue to do what they've been doing, which is nothing that helps our country. |

That would be incorrect. Tea Partiers (and other anti-tax folk) don't think that we need another building with Robert Byrd's (or any other pork-belly politician's name) emblazoned on it, with most of the contract going to one of his family members or political contributors. Taxes for infrastructure and police protection are worth the cost.Add to that that some of us are tired of the class warfare. It is so easy to sell a little bit of tax increase to somebody when they don't have to pay it. If you want to tax and spend, If you want all the government bennies Then Flippin pay for it!!! Don't ask Uncle Sam to play Robin Hood for you and take it from somebody else. Be willing to step up to the plate and pay for the programs you think are important. Then again it all makes me more disgusted with my fellow Americans than with any politician. Bingo! Hey you 50% who pay no federal income taxes... you want better roads? Yes! More welfare? Yes! The government to pay for your insurance? Yes! You want free college education? Yes! So you willing to pay for it via higher taxes? Hell no, make the rich guys pay for it... (sigh..) I will refuse to back a single tax increase for ANYONE until a) we have a balanced budget and b) we cut government waste in some real, definable way
