Marianas Trench.

The car radio goes up when they come on, and I sometimes do not leave the car until the song is finished.  Would never be caught buying their music, though :S

--I had to look them up, and when I did I saw "Canadian rock pop band."  Way to own it.  I am totally cuing up a song when I leave work.

And the verdict is???

That's not a guilty pleasure.  That's essential to ownership of a Y chromosome.

Coincidentally, this is the second chromosome joke I've made on the 'net today.

TheClaaaw - 2013-05-15 4:10 PM Celebrity Apprentice. There is no reason an intelligent person should watch it. I do it anyway.

You know who should beon that show--the foul mouthed (and I say that with nothing but respect) deranged sorority girl who will be forever known for coining the term"C--- P---".  I don't even watch tv and I know that would work.

I love that email.  Have you seen the video of Alison Haislip reading it?  I can only assume this is a dead-on impersonation of Rebecca.  (If you're not familiar with the email, it is just a wee bit NSFW with the obscenities)

Entenmann's Chocolate Frosted Donuts.

I had my first experience with Chick-fil-A down in Georgia a few weeks ago.  It was delicious.  There are none up by me in Wisconsin (franchise opportunity??).  I might have to add that to my list.

Just a bit though One of my FB friends was a former member of that sorority and she got into the debate raging on that sorority's FB page about the email itself and the national chapters official apology after. Reading that thread was a guilty pleasure in and of itself for a bit of time.

OK, I gave four songs and their videos a try:

Desperate Measures

Haven't Had Enough

Stutter

Fallout

I liked them in that order.  I really like how they try to keep making the lead singer straight in the videos;

My daughter came downstairs this morning while they were playing and said, "Mommy?  What are you listening to?"  I said, "What you don't like it?"  She said, "No, well, um, it's just not the kind of music you normally listen to."

Outta the mouths of babes.

That being said, I do have Desperate Measures stuck in my head, so thanks a lot for that;)

OK I have another one:  Driving fast.  Total guilty pleasure, and I do it waaaaaay to often.  Every time I go into the dealer, the guys give me crap about my test-drive.  So we got a little airborn on that yellow light and did some doughnuts in the empty fair parking lot, meh.  What?  If you're gonna buy a truck, you better know how it accelerates and handles.

  • All of the "Love Comes Softly" series Hallmark movies--when Hallmark runs a marathon, I lose an entire day.
  • Peeps--the more stale the better
  • Singing along to Bohemian Rhapsody, Wayne's World style
  • Cheese Puffs after a long workout
  • Recent addition: strawberry-nutella pastry from the organic French bakery near my new house.  I have one every week when I work from home.
  • Maryland blue crabs--I spent 3 hours feasting on Mother's Day on the back deck while hubby and FIL were doing yard work and chaperoning all the neighborhood children out front.  The neighbors kept asking where I was.  The repeated answer was "eating."

This is exactly the kind of confession I envisioned with this thread.

Maryland blue crabs are so awesome.  When I read that my mouth started watering and I could almost taste the Old Bay.  "Repeated answer was 'eating'"--nice!

I'm totally with you on this one.  Every chance I get.  I pick my time and place to be safe to other drivers but when I'm alone on an open road I'm well into triple digits.  I have a modified turbo 911 which I guess is a guilty pleasure in and of itself.

On the test drive, I've done that too.  When the newer Mustang GT's first came out I took one for a test drive.  The salesman did not come with because I was with my wife.  When I brought the car back it just reeked of burnt rubber and you could hear the tink, tink sound of overheated metal.

Exactly! Nice ride, btw. I learned how to test drive from my 911 driving step dad;) They're impressive machines.

Living in Colorado, blue crabs are a rare treat.  When I get them, I don't let a single morsel go to waste.  Hubby knows when he gets them for me, I will be occupied until the last leg segment is picked.  One of the few things we miss about living in the DC area.
