Dang that sounds like it will be good.

Fighting the food-coma resulting from company pot-luck lunch... too much yummy stuff, just a little of this, little of that... at least I went for a (short) run this morning!

My culinary contribution was "pudding de los muertos", a creative name for "Mexican hot chocolate pudding".

That sounds awesome!

I broke and had some M&Ms today. There's a huge ziplock bag full of them leftover from our board meeting. There is also a ridiculous amount of cookies, muffins, goldfish, corn bread, cinni-rolls, etc. Good thing I can't eat any of that stuff. But M&Ms make me weak.

Goldfish and cornbread would have done me in.  I'm also a total junkie for Cheez-Its, especially the White Cheddar.

Found a new cookbook on Amazon today:  "Cooking with Coolio".  It has a recipe for 'Chicken Lettuce Blunts'.

I'm having trouble keeping myself from buying it.

That has all kinds of awesome. I wonder if any of the ingredients is "One 40 of Malt Liquor". Actually, I may steam my ribs in Malt Liquor next time.

start up a new regional dish.. "Dave's 40oz ribs"!   Braise the meat in it for a few hours before finishing on a grill.

How goes the roasting of bones and making of stocks?

I'm hoping to be doing some of that next weekend.  I've got two ducks that I'm going to break apart.  All of the pieces parts will get used for various things, but I'm planning to roast all them bones to make a duck stock to make some kick-azz gumbo.

You people are making me hungry. Stop it. And the four kilos of fluff post-IMJ have settled in, like, with pillows and duvets and everything.

That's my method. Braise with 3x12oz amber ale after sprinkling with salt, pepper and cumin. Then grill basting with guava BBQ sauce.

I'm thinking the malt liquor adds urban cred.

Today it's gonna be linguini and meatballs completely from scratch. Busy day in the kitchen; gotta start my sauce soon.

Awesome Chris!!! That one is on my bucket list for sure.

How's everybody doing this morning? Candy hangovers?

Also, on a scale of one to Rebecca Black, how happy are you that it's FRIDAY?

Happy Friday TAN!!!

Holy crap - all this talk of delicious food is making my weenie little bagel for breakfast this morning seem... well... weenie.

Chris, I'm still calling you a lucky f**ker for getting into Alcatraz, but that's only because I'm really jealous.

OMG - took the 'rents to go and see Wicked last night, and it was AH-MAY-ZING!!!

No candy hangover, but a happy belly just the same.  The GF and I went to a porch party to hand out candy to the kids at one of her friend's house last night.  The guy is a chef and was making homemade pizzas and stuff all night. So much nom!

Hooray Friday!!!

Aww all of the kiddos I saw last night were adorable! We had a one-year-old cutie who was "A house divided" - Half Jayhawk and half Wildcat. Her outfit was literally split down the middle! She had no idea what was going on though.
