Z - 2007-09-18 10:40 PM May be we could go for a costume run in a dark? This way I can only break a minor part of my body ;-)

You can always run behind us - I don't think we will be breaking much faster than 5-6 mph

Can I sneak in from Maryland? I don't know if my knees will be in shape for the ride but I'd definitely try to come for the dinner and the costumes.

MD - you goofball! Of course you can "sneak in"! I invited you! And besides, it's open to everybody - if Marylanders were out, I would be, too! Tink OOO

But what if the clothes just start coming off for some reason ?

(That was a joke. I promise.)

As the self proclaimed Official Point-Giver-Outer, I guarantee extra points will be awarded for such shenanigans.

I think Joe claimed that costume - I think that's automatic negative points - you'll have to check with the ref!

This can be discussed... Ride first for safety - and then eat drink and maybe some bars ? But costumes MUST be kept on for the whole evening

Having crashed in daylight I can understand the apprehension. And some people I know have trouble riding straight while sober!!

Agreed - costumes MUST be on the whole time...or you get docked points!

Tink - remember what you said, no stripping!

Stripping is strictly prohibited.  What kind of racket do you think this is?

However, random removal of clothing is not only within the rules, you may find that it is encouraged.

I think there needs to be a NO SPEEDO rule...for EVERYBODY! I feel very strongly about this. They should not be allowed outside of a swim meet!

If anyone wants to stop at Jimmy's Old Town Tavern, I'm game.  It's a block off the W&OD in Herndon.  I don't think they allow speedos, but I can guarantee they'd get a kick out of 15 cyclists showing up in full costume on a Friday night.

I'm game for anything - especially anyplace that won't mind all of us in our costumes. Everybody in the local area will have to make those judgement calls for us.

Hold the presses, work may not allow me to get there on friday. Besides, I'm not sure I want to see you drunk, you're a handful sober

Absolutely.  And if needed, I know where I can access a fleet of a dozen Schwinn crosscut cruisers (whatever the hell you call 'em) that a certain property I know of used to let residents "borrow" until it became to much of a hassle for that certain property.  So those bikes now sit in a certain garage at that certain property.  They just need some air and some lube.  Ha.  I said lube.
