wgraves7582 - 2010-03-17 7:26 AM Morning Enemy Team - Hope you guys are all prepped for your big drinking day as it is St Pattys Day.  Don't hold back (but don't drive either!) and don't worry about the training - there is always next week

Have a great day guys and happy training!

Oh, I'm READY!  HAPPY training, indeed Laughing

Drinking & running tonight starting at 7:30!  I'll probably get around 6 miles in, and we usually stop at a bar every 1/2 mile or so (yeah intervals!)  Who says training has to suffer??  Hopefully I don't trip over any fire hoses!

I take it you're not in a dry county?  I saw on your training log that you've entered a Kentucky race, so I thought maybe you lived in Kentucky - home of the makers of fine bourbons and whiskies, but not allowed to drink them!

AN IRISH FRIENDSHIP WISH:

 May there always be work for your hands to do;
  May your purse always hold a coin or two;
  May the sun always shine on your windowpane;
  May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain;
  May the hand of a friend always be near you;
 May God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.
  and may you be in heaven a half hour before the devil knows you’re dead.

So what is a dry county? Is there no drinking allowed at all, or is it curtailed in some way? Sounds so sad.

No kidding, I'd have to move!

I think it just means that no alcohol is allowed to be sold in the county.  I could be totally wrong though!

So, after four or five years of getting Cole's hearing tested and him failing the test, we are FINALLY GOING TO GET HIM HEARING AIDS!!!

I'm a little excited.  They are submitting the insurance paperwork and hopefully we will be getting him his aids in four weeks or so.  As long as the insurance company approves.  I don't see why they would deny it but stranger things have happened!

I believe it means that there are no legal alcohol sales in that county.

I think so too. About 5 years ago we went on vacation in KY, part of the week at a state park and the rest at the Derby! For some reason one a rainy day we ended up at a bowling alley. My husband went looking for the beer because that's what you do in a bowling alley, right? They laughed and said the closest place selling beer was about 2 counties over. We were in a dry county! For me, it didn't matter since I was pregnant at the time. But my husband was flabbergasted! The sad thing is, in the lane next to us was another pg girl, smoking like a chimney. THAT was ok...

kns57 - 2010-03-17 7:58 AM Did my first spin class ever last night and survived.

Nice work.  I really like spin classes.  They are a really great cardio workout, and I enjoy the social aspect.  Kind of like a group ride to nowhere!

OK Folks,  I am falling way behind with my running.  My HM training group has run 12 miles, and I am only up to 8.  If I don't run at least 9 miles at lunch today... (gulp) I should be tased.
