She seems to be guarded about giving numbers for time. I'm sure she has one, but I haven't seen it.

All I know is that her coach said that Salty could finish in x:xx and Salty was surprised that it was as low a number as it was.  Her training has been fantastic, as you know.  She's doing great!

My quick math (based on the first 15 K) gives a number that makes my jaw drop.

I think part of it is that she really is still figuring out what her potential is.

She is such a wonderful blend of talent, modesty and level-headedness!   Hoping the race continues the way it has been for her, she has worked so hard for this.

All I know is she said her time would be much faster than her 3:22 marathon.  Yeah, the FIRST one she ever did.  Amazing.  Clearly from that split, if she holds steady (there ARE some hills still to come) she will have a MUCH faster time in Boston.

melbo55 - 2013-04-15 10:38 AM Wow, I missed so much by not checking in over the weekend.  I don't even know where to start, really, except I know Yanti needs some big, long, strong, nurturing hugs. {{{hugs, hugs, hugs}}}  Give Mutti some of those hugs, too. She is such a peach.  And many congrats are to be said for racing efforts (TJ, Darren, Jen, Ann-Marie) as well as training gains (talkin' to you and your bike, Jo!).  Thanks for making me hungry for Mexican food and queso, Jen and Skrat.  And we have our speedy Salty to track, yay!!  No 5K time for her yet.

I would say I'm sorry, but everyone needs to share in the joy that is queso.

If you go on the athlete tracker and search it shows it.  I don't want to post it in case it jinxes things.....
