How did they decide the numbers???

First 3 groups of numbers are Pro Men, Pro Women then I think Communtiy Fund. After that, it's by age group.

If you choose "list all participants" and sort by bib number, you can see how many racers in your AG. (450 racing in the 35-39 Men!!!) Also, the higher bib number you are in your AG, the older you are in relation to your AG.

If you are doing the Janus Charity Challenge or did the Community Fund then you will have a low #.
I got a note back and the lady said we'll figure out which of the two me's will be racing on-site, that it's no biggie, so if I have a choice, I like 101.

514 M40-44, looks like my AG is now the largest in the field. Was 35-39 in 2007 with nearly 500.

Weather is looking promising. It's very warm today and this week, getting chilly for a few days over the weekend, and then warming back up into the 70's next week. Hopefully morning temps won't go much below 50.

Either way I'll take the 12 hours!

I'm talking to a couple of BTers to see if we can start and coordinate a IMAZ watching thread.  Hopefully doing it a little earlier than IMFL we will catch all the folks racing so we can watch on line and see your guys progress.

When we get the details worked out I'll post.

I had planned on coming out to volunteer and sign up but things changed so I'll be home instead and next year IMFL for me.

Thanks Kathy!!!!!!

FYI- I started my IMAZ packing list, if anyone wants a copy, PM your email address and I will gladly share   It may seem crazy, but having a list and checking things off as you pack makes it sooooo much easier!  The less stress you have during taper, the better!

TexasMPGal - 2009-11-09 7:55 PM Hmmmm...a glitch in my switch has me listed twice. So, I'm either 101 or 2266...both are kind of fun numbers. Have left a phone message with IM Athlete Services...we'll see!
Go for 101 that was my # at my first IM

Well, only if you think 1200 feet above sea level will put you in oxygen debt! I must say, this "issue" being raised is a first!

Alright. I just turned my bike in to TriBike Transport...and realizing that this time next week I'll be on a plane is making me a little stir crazy.

The IMAZ Watch thread has officially been started by Kathy on the other side of this forum.

I'm kind of dumbfounded that it's been nearly a year since I registered for this race.

I've been obsessing over the weather report for Tempe.

As of today, the extended forecast has W,Th,F with a high of 77 degrees but dropping on Saturday to 74. Hopefully that means the water will be in the mid to upper 60s but the high air temp will be in the low 70s. Wind has been very mild lately.

It's going to be in the 60's fo a high this weekend with lows around 45. Brrr! But warming back up into the mid to high 70's with lows around 50 for the week, all the way up Saturday the 21st as of todays 10-day. Sunny, of course. Winds, well, they will be what they will be, really no good way to forecast that.
