Thought I would share this minor accomplishment. Today did my 3.5 mile Tempo run, target has been getting below 8:00 PPM for the loop. I did it once for the Mothers Day race, but that is easy with people to chase after, today did it in 27:57 (7:59 PPM). So happy with breaking it with just me a running partner running. Ultimate target is getting down to 7:00 PPM before I leave here in Sept, but was a nice intermediate goal accomplishment. I am shooting to get back to my 8:00 PPM for 10 miles on training runs. Steady running and working out have helped and getting me closer to the goal.

JJ - What a FANTASTIC day for you!  For the walking thing, it took me 3 full days to be able to move forward in a manner that didn't resemble a broken penguin.  As for the stickers, get 'em both!  I'm actually kinda sad that I didn't get a sticker at IMAZ - but we don't have a car so I figured what's the point... I'm absolutely getting one at IMChoo!

TJ - that has to be the most awesome transition ever!!  I'm not surprised at all that the parents were the worst, but hopefully the fun that the kids were having outweighed everything else.

Darren - I'm really happy to hear about an upswing for you!  That's awesome!

Jo - Hi!  Nice to see you & I can't wait to hear allll about your super-stalking!

Nice going. I'm thinking the same thing seems I'm time constricted, bin all the filler miles and build on my tempo and threshold runs.

Ha! Awesome…

I'd vote 140.6.  Lotta ground to have covered!

Side note: had my aero bar shear off my cockpit on a ride yesterday at ~35mph.  Interesting, to say the least.  No wreckage, thankfully, and my LBS is fixing it up and will have it back (and tuned up, even!) by Thursday!  FastSplits (said LBS) just ROCKS!  On my roadie tomorrow and Wednesday, so my neck will at least be happy.

And now back to your regularly scheduled programming...

Matt

IRONMAN doesn't sell the 140.6 sticker anymore. This is the new sticker. At first I didn't like it but it's growing on me now

Edit: I just ordered a regular 140.6 from cafe press. Now I gotta decide what to do.

I think I prefer the standard 140.6.  For whatever that's worth!

Yea I do too that why I ordered one from cafepress. That new sticker is interesting tho. It's growing on me. I think the standard 140 is more recognizable

No help from me Matt. I have an ex-employee there, but she is into horses, not tri's. Why are you asking? Is there a possible move in your future? I'm not sure Austin can handle you and Monica

Find a mentor. Make a list of at least three people that you could approach for help, list your specific needs and then be courageous enough to begin asking.
