Let's see...really sore quads with 5m to go, a picture at every mile with a Disney character and still crossed the line at 5:06.....oh yeah and then there's the half marathon yesterday....gotta love the challenge.

HAHA, thanks for all the insipres and e-mails guys.  Was a tough couple of days, but we survived, really looking forward to dinner and drinks tonight, my body needs it.

Completely different race than any we have ever done.  There were characters all over the place, we ran through all 4 parks today. Funny to see people lined up to get their picture taken with characters, or in front of cinderella's castle.  Not really a PR type of course, though it is pancake flat, just too many things to do while running.

Knee held up which I was really happy about, but legs overall are just beat up, looking forward to a week or so off.  There was a speed walker that every time we would stop would pass us, he was a dead ringer for Trevor, so the joke was we couldn't let Trevor beat us, this dude had a super exagerated speed walk going, arms swinging out super wide, and butt moving fast as he walked.

I'll post some pics later.  Sam is a saint, she took the kids to a movie while I napped, she came out of the races in much better shape than I did.

Hey all!!
Just wanted to touch base and tell you I just finished the Disney Marathon.
It was crazy. I've never sped-walked an entire marathon, but I did it.
Funny story - they was this crazy couple who kept running past me just past every aid station.
The wife was super hot. The guy was this really short cyclist looking dude.

Tongue out

great job U2!!

Congrats to Sam and Tony!  That sounds like a really fun race.

Congrats to you too, Trevor.  Sounds like you walked a great race.  HAHA!

Just finished a quick mix of walking and running to get in my work for the day before snowmaggedon sets in.  Saw several animals and characters in the neighborhood, but no Cinderella's castle.  Settling in by the fire now to see who the Falcons get next week.

Hi folks,

I'm thinking of getting the VORTEX 3 FULLSUIT WETSUIT, will probably order it on Friday.  So far I've only seen good reviews, does anyone here have an opinion on this model?  The suit is within my budget after I use the BT $250 discount.

Have used one for 2 full seasons.  I only use it for races and OWS but it has been a good suit for me.  Some others have had issues with them tearing easily.  I have not, but also don't have nails...etc.

GREAT JOB you two.

My neighbor (friend) her sister was down there today to run her first full Marathon, we were getting BlackBerry Messanger updates from her on the course... it was kind of cool.

Eyewitness to Trevor at mile 25 of his marathon, I can attest that he does not swing his butt from side to side. Maybe a little bit of side to side wobble walking around the next day, but definitely not his style on the run! . Must have been an imposter!

Looks like we aer getting a later start then the other MGs on this Monday.  I had to go almost to the bottom of the list to find us!!

We had a good weeked with skiing on Saturday and a wrestling tournament on Sunday.  The boys were pretty wiped out last night after that (I was pretty tired myself!).  Run at luchtime for me today.

Also need to get on the stick and get registered for some of my races so I don't have to pay the higher prices!!

Happy Monday...

Happy Monday, indeed...  ick!  Still sick.  Took yesterday off running since I was so sickly and sore and just out of it.  Did my test ride anyway today, and I'm so exhausted now at work that I could just sleep at my desk.  I only have a couple more weeks here, so I can do that, right?  Ha.

Sam and Tony - you guys rock!  Way to go!

current Calgary weather:
0 F , with windchill -18F.... I did my small bike ride in to work. Friggin cold. Hands felt like ice cubes after the 15 minutes. But hey, didnt pay $25 to park. We pay so much to park here. Unreal.
Crazy storm that hit here this weekend. Highways are closed. Blowing snow. People trapped in their cars.
Good times.

There is some mental toughness!

$25 per day is pretty steep...

Great job Trevor.

Hope you Southerners are able to deal with the snow....do you even have boots?   While it's cold in  Madison, I see the grass....supposed to get around 2" of snow over the next two days, but for us that's nothing.  Makes me feel like Spring is in the air so I've been pulling out my shorts....oh yeah that's for the trip to Hawaii which is 18 days away!
