Now the challenge is to see how to allow myself the occasional treat without going overboard. Any suggestions welcome.

How about a single square of quality dark chocolate a day?  My primary care physician recommends this.

How big of a square?

You sound like someone who needs your squares in individual servings already.

Define "individual".

Individual would mean 1 square,  but that would assume we all know how to count :-)

Yes, but the "How big" still remains. Both items in the picture are 1. The "small" one is normal size whereas the big one is 8 oz (or 227g for you Wink )

I put in a 3K regular swim workout / 6-hour trainer ride brick today (swick?) Probably one of the best Iron-training sessions one can do, but I'm biased.

So just another Ho-hum day of training in Yanti-town?. You are one crazy, crazy nut Yanti!

I'm considering this a training session. None of it is in my freezer/kitchen so I'm holding up ok. That said, I'm going to follow your advice and head out for a run.

Sort of like how Thin Mints conveniently come in two individual servings per box?

I am with the others.  and my wife knows it.  If it is in the house, it's gonna end up in my belly.  No two ways about that

Ya the peanutbutter cup on the right for me too Rusty ! I went and had a digital reading of body fat this morning. A whoppin 31 %

personal trainer recommended more resistance band work to bring that percentage down.

I need a little humour in my diet .

Finally got on my bike.... first time in three weeks ....between sickness and cold weather. I can check

windy chilly ride off

my list of bike accomplishments after three months of road riding. Proud of that ! woot woot.

I just looked at the forecast for tomorrow.  -27C windchill.....

That's going to be a serious test of my will power to get out the door for that run.

Crazy crazy work.  It's actually, good, but crazy.  And kids melting down.

But I got in a short swim between bouts of other stuff.  Coming back to swimming is really really tough.  I'm struggling to get through what used to be a warm-up.  I realize that the main thing is sticking with it, but if anybody's got more specific advice about how to come back (for someone was was never quite 'there' in the first place), I'm all ears.

Then it probably wouldn't help to know that I ate an entire one in a single shot (~1,000 calories). And it was AWESOME.

Fight Club plus some aerobic riding along with running tonight. 4 x 6:30-7:00' min intervals. Ended up with 319, 323, 326 & 339. Might be the Cancellara effect, but something got going which is what I was looking for with this. I've had so much trouble going near or over threshold for awhile.

I think it is funny that I am excited that my new trainer gets here today.  Never did I think I'd be excited about a trainer.  Strength training and a run on tap today.  What does everyone else got going on?  Anyone racing this weekend?

you are going to love the new trainer! We just boarded a plane and are headed to Vegas for a long weekend, so training will be a bit sketchy for the next couple of days here. Very much looking forward to seeing a little sun after all the rain we have been having.

It's cold enough here that even the dog doesn't want to go outside. Run like a ninja.

Beastly number!

My run in the cold didn't suck as bad as I expected.  Only about a half kilometre that was really exposed to the wind that was really bad.
