Dang, if you've got this much time on your hands today, you should design my team's RAGBRAI shirts. Where do you people get this artsy talent...I've got NONE of it.

I'm really just a computer guy who can type text and manipulate other peoples art. Couldn't make anything from scratch if my life depended on it..

If we had to handwrite all of our posts.. everyone here would think I was 3 years old..

I'm having LOTS of fun reading all this trash talk. I'm not witty enough in writing to contribute anything, though. And thanks to this challenge I get to go riding with some of us Gear Godesses on Sunday. Yipee!

Woo Hoo....another 17.5 miles for the boys tacked on from an "overly long lunch hour".  Lets see the chickies try to keep up.

HMMMM, 39.67 miles this morning brings me to a monthly total of...OH!  Only 116 miles this month so far...

[bigcheesygrin]  I think you need to take a few days off to heal up that shoulder.  [/bigcheesygrin]

Let's hear it for incidental exercise, the kind you get when your car is in the shop and you use your bike to run errands. Celeb_ithil biked to work today, for example.

I wondered yesterday if this was fair, but then I got out there and did it and confronted TWO drivers turning left without signalling out of parking spots while on cell phones that never even saw me, nearly got doored and, of course, was cut off by a right-turning car. This around-town stuff (if it doesn't kill me) is going to teach me all sorts of fast-maneuvering skills!

Oh, and here's a vote to make left-turns while on cellphones a felony crime!

Jessica, Sunday will be FUN! My fellow Goddesses will need to push, pull, cajole and yell at me to get some major miles in. How far do you think we should/could go? I'll pack lots of energy bars.

I certainly hope that Team Testybones will be much more honorable about paying up when they lose the Bike Challenge than Joel's Team Dyck has been in fulfilling the obligations of the Swim Challenge.

Tisk. Tisk. Shocking. Inconceivable even!

I'd be happy to update it weekly.  Doesn't take more than a few minutes to put in, but I can only do it from my home.  If you send during work hours, there will be a delay until I get home to update it.

Wow! 20 in a half hour is like 40mph. You're a fast little critter there, possum!

It's hot everywhere.

OK, Goddesses - I can't figure out how to get my blog to show through the weekend (keeps defaulting back to today as the cut off day) - so just want you to know that after my little camping and canoeing (and beer drinking and s'more eating) Friday and Saturday, I will be planning to go long on Sunday - I'm hoping for 40 but I'm riding with a friend who might need some convincing.  I might just have to play the macho card with him, since he likes to prove he can keep up with me. Hey, whatever it takes, right?   Go Go Go Go  Go GODDESSES!

Go into settings Tania...you can change which day is the "first" day of your week, that might help.

Going long on Sunday myself...a century if all goes as planned.

now that's the funniest thing I've heard all day! I am LEAVING in about 1/2 hour to ride 20, which will probably take me an hour and a half! I am THE slowest cyclist on this entire website, I assure you. we possums are notorious for being found dead on the road....

That's 'cause your method of defense against a speeding 18-wheeler is to lie down in the middle of the road and play dead. Possums ain't too bright.

Enjoy your ride.

Riding 20 with a goal of 90????.  That's 22% of your entire MONTH goal.  Are you sure you can handle that distance????

Nice work ladies, and as of very early this AM, we were beating the 'Bones! (Really, you need muscles for riding bikes, not just bones...no wonder we are winning).  But, keep it up and keep inspiring, especially those that might need an extra boost.  Sounds like everyone has a great weekend planned.  For me, I got rained out (read: tunderstorm) last night, but am hoping to hit the pavement tonight if we dont' get another blast of evening showers.  Also, got a 40 miler tomorrow morning.

Tania, get that 40 miles in...the macho card works.

Ride safely and enjoy!
