This is Jake, he is a Greyhound-Golden Lab mix who is a definite gentle giant with LOTS of energy!!  He has 2 of his own beds, but then he will curl up in the cat's...(He had an incident at the dog park and had to get stitches on his knee...but he is all healed now!)

 Jake

Jake is nosey!

I love it when dogs have their own kittys.

I have to concur.

Actually, according to my cat, it is "so cute that the kitty has a dog!"  Wink

Of course, because dogs have masters and cats have staff!

Licorice showed up at our front door the day after we had to put our 14yo black lab to sleep.  He is now 15 and has been an absolute joy.  He ran 3 miles with my wife yesterday.  The old man still got it!!

Chester is a rescue dog.  Pitt & Lab about 3yo.  He is the sweetest dog I have very met.  When he rides in the truck with me, he paws me until I hold hands with him.  Then he puts his head against the seat and smiles at me.

Here is our Giraffe-a-Lope (aka - Hobbes).  Tall as a giraffe and runs like an antelope.  One of my daughters and I rescued him from Lab Rescue.  He's definintely part lab, but we are not sure where the pink nose and light eyes came from.  The picture was taken after we left him out back while the sprinklers were on.  He was really proud of the mess he made -

Your boy is very handsome and distinguished and I offer the following only as a point of trivia.

I had a lab mix with a pink nose and light eyes as well and pink nose is considered a genetic fault in the breed but obviously occurs often enough that they had to mention in the breed standards and hazel eyes are exceptable color in chocolate labs.

Sorry, I am a dog nerd, but NOT a dog snob. Every dog is perfect for the right person.

Of course, I meant Hazels eyes are an acceptable color for the breed standard.

Also, this thread is so much more fun and relaxing than the breast feeding in church discussion. Another reason why dogs rule.

Well I may as well add my dear puppy to this list as well... She ends up in front of my camera a lot. This was from last year.

She is an 8 year old Alaskan Malamute and loves our Canadian winters and resides indoors in front of the AC vents in the summer.

Sasha is just a big fluffy pile of love.

Unfortunately NO

She injured her Paw/ankle area, while chasing a bunny, when she was just shy of 4 years old and she can't walk more then 2km max now without tripping over it and or straining it. Prior to that we did weight pulling with her and she was able to pull 1200 lbs 16 feet in under 60 seconds when she was 4.

I look at her all the time and wish she could run with me now that I run all the time. But unfortunately she has never been able to build back up to walking any further then that.

But when she was younger we went on back country hiking and camping trips and also canoe trips. And she loves the snow and still runs like a maniac the first sign of snow every year. She will sit and WOOOO at the back door to go outside and stomp her feet and hop around until she gets to go outside and run in the snow.

Its soo cute

Has anyone read "a Dog's Purpose" by W Bruce Cameron?

It is written in "first person" by a dog who is reincarnated a few times as he searches for his purpose in life.
