Elite 3072 san francisco | Subject: RE: swbkrun Mentor Group II- CLOSED FOR BUSINESS!!! So sad about Chrissie. But now, I am full on rooting for Mirinda Carfrae (sp?). I love the way she runs! Hey guys, tonight Kathy and I have reservations here: http://www.wayfaretavern.com/menu/PDF/wayfare_menu_FALL.pdf It is Tyler Florence's new restaurant in town! Made the reservation about 6 weeks ago. It is our 5 year anniversary. Not as long as lots of you guys here, but we are doing our best, and still having fun. I don't think either of us will be doing the chicken dance tonight or climbing on top of the speakers. |

You can bite me too! My son asked me to dance and I needed a few more beers to be as happy as grandma! On another note - I had a good actually great race today. It's funny but I had no expectations and have been feeling very sluggish lately but I had a huge PR. More than a min. faster than my stand alone 5k and 30 sec. than my sprint tri. |

Kind of cracks me up that they have brats on the menu....personally, I would trying the Mac and Cheese and the Fried Chicken, but I'm not very fancy! Sam, love the dance!!! So why not brag and tell us your time? Watching a little of the IM coverage, but will be heading out to dinner with friends so won't see the finish. Can someone email me or text me the male and female winners? My hope is Lieto pulls it off this year and would really love to see Miranda come through. She seems so spunky! Elite 3395 Raleigh | Subject: RE: swbkrun Mentor Group II- CLOSED FOR BUSINESS!!! Hello everyone It is almost 1AM here I have not check the IM yet. Linda: I hope Connor is fine. You totally made the right choice Tracy: I hope Hobbs gets well soon Steve: Those hills are the largest mountains in Germany Austria gave them to Germany a looonnggg time ago. I went to Dachau concentration camp today. Whew. If I have not said it before, I am Jewish. It was hard. In the Jewish Memorial near the end I cried as I said the mouner's Kadish. I don't know if I could handle Aushwitz as that was a death camp and most of the structures have been preserved. It certainly makes one appreciate what one has today and the fact that we get to do triathlon mostly carefree. I hope everyone is well, and if you raced that you had a great day! Doug |

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY Kim to you and Kathy....so awesome for you two. If I make it to SF next year PLEASE take me there....Tyler Florence is one of my favorite all-time chef's and after looking at the menu....wel,l all I need is about a week and a Thousand dollars and I could find out if that place is as good as it is supposed to be......and it would be SOOOOO worth it. Ya'll have a great time tonight. |

Champion 7163 Verona WI--Ironman Bike Country! | Subject: RE: swbkrun Mentor Group II- CLOSED FOR BUSINESS!!! Kona athletes are amazing...I missed the men's finish, but watching the women that last 4m was incredible. I know some will say the race wasn't the same because of Chrissie, but it was great to see some new faces on the podium. Did Dibbens give it all and then some? CRAZY! One of our local coaches and frequent OA winners in races, Cinid Bannik finished in just over 10 hours. Another friend, Sue Pierson sadly DNF'ed after doing her first IM WI in 10:45. And she is the toughest 45-49 year old i know. Thinking of you Kyla....be like those women today! |

Elite 3395 Raleigh | Subject: RE: swbkrun Mentor Group II- CLOSED FOR BUSINESS!!! Stepped out of my hotel today to find the Munich Marathon in progress. I walked the course to the end which was in the Olympic Stadium. Very cool! Thought of John as they were given out Bavarian Beer at the 38th Km and at the end. Good stuff too. A VERY eclectic group of runners, many many more older people running than in the US. Lots of crowds along the route and the outddor cafes were jammed. Walked about 9 miles and my feet are tired. Good luck Kyla! |
