Oooo...watching Amazing Race and saw the preview for Survivor....the words "intervention" are said...Jeff has little Hantz separated from the two tribes and says they are holding tribal "right then".

Hmmm...interesting....

I saw that and I wonder if everybody is ready to bury him alive out there for what he did to the food.  I wonder if tampering with the food is a no no in Survivor contract rules.  Should be interesting.  Seriously WTF is wrong with this kid?

The problem with these big personality returning players is they become a caricature of their former performance and goes to far.  He seems to be trying to be the good one but then try to be some sort of a tough guy too.  He needs a Coach character keeping him grounded.  He doesn't seem to have any sort of authority figure out there like he had last time.

Kid going crazy.

lol, yes, let's get HIM to keep somebody grounded.

I guess he suspects he's leaving and wants to cause as much chaos as possible first.  Some people just hide the machete...he apparently crosses the line and messes with food.  Should be an interesting episode.

Seemed to work before but he obviously needs that tribe leader that the favorites don't seem to have just yet.

My 2 cents: the kid is an idiot and latches onto whoever is considered the group leader in whatever social setting he's in. It happened to be Coach last time, I bet when he's at home he morphs into a little version of whoever the alpha male is in his social circle(maybe Russell?) there.

Wow.  Just, wow.

Little Hantz has real issues.  How the heck did the psych testing miss that?

The faces of the fans really said it all during that tribal/challenge.  It was pure disbelief...they are probably not going to fully understand what happened until they see this episode aired.

I only had one other thing for the actual episode.  I think the fans really messed up that reward challenge.  Once little Hantz started to struggle they should have shifted their effort to Phillip a lot earlier.  They probably wasted 3-5 coconuts on little Hantz....could have been the difference.

Previews for next week hint at a tribe switch.

As much as people bag on Philip, the dude's been killing it in challenges all season long.  He shouldn't have let Brandon get under his skin...it is what it is though.

Brandon needs help.  I literally felt bad watching him and his effect on the tribe this week.

Malcolm, Erick, Cochran...they all handled it perfectly.  When crazy rears its head, it's best to lay low and just watch.

I'm not a Reynold fan.  He just seems so darn arrogant.

I am just happen that a little freakout episode actually played itself out.   Too often people have a meltdown, swear they will quit, and then without explanation they are still there 6 episodes later.  Maybe I am a mean, but I like in these shows when someone totally melts down and doesn't get away with it.  See ya later!

The only thing I give him actual credit for is calling his tribe out. He was spot on. Everyone DOES think Phillip spy ring is stupid and talks too much but they just smile and take it. He was just childish on how he did it. He was tired of playing along and kissing butt.

Wow what a nut bag.  Philip was going after Brandon a little so I don't blame Brandon for being upset but be upset at Philip and don't dump out the rice and beans the whole tribe eats.

Kudos to Brandon for calling out Phillip for the stealth r us crap.  It is really lame.

I agree with the poster above as much as Philp is kind of a joke he is great in challenges and seems to help around camp.

I was laughing at Brandon when he said he was the only one who can make fire with flint.   I'm sure the rest can figure it out if his crazy arse figured it out.

Previews make it out to look like my girl Corrine is on the chopping block by #thespecialist.

Reynold is crazy lucky and Sherri is seeing her nice alliance crumble.

Yeah...I know editing is involved but I wonder if producers warned him something was going on?  I mean, he usually doesn't see or hear anything about what goes on at camp, but I wonder if in this case even the producers recognized that Brandon was losing it?  I mean, medical can pull someone from the game...medical ought to be able to pull someone if they appear to be mentally unbalanced!

Everyone is saying Brandon was right for calling out Phillip...but has Phillip really done anything different than any other contestant?  Yeah he has stupid names for everyone but who cares?  Other people probably had stupid names for the members of their alliance too...and they just didn't mention it!

I asked my SO if they had security in addition to medical...I really thought Brandon might get physical.  Probst gets told when someone needs medical (as he always shows up with medical), so I am sure he was warned about this.

Brandon is the little dog who barks loud but will run away when confronted. He was threatening the oldest guy on the island.

I don't know about that.  Dumping the food was one stop on the path to physical violence.  I have no doubt he would be capable of that.

Agree on the kudos to Probst.  Even though he was undoubtedly warned, he handled that really well.

Best......meltdown....ever!!!!!  All I could do was laugh. I was speechless. Mini-Hanz has more than one screw loose. Actually, I think all his screws are loose & rollin' around in that head of his.

As someone stated earlier, Philip is doing well in the challenges, BUT I can't stand the guy!! Keeping him does serve a purpose, besides annoying the heck out of everyone. If Philip makes the final three, then the other two people have a 50/50 shot at winning. That's better than a 33% chance of winning.

I know Phillip basically kept his cool.  But the last few comments about the kids and his parenting?  NOT COOL.  Rules or not, I would be on him had that continued.

I know Hansen escalated it to the point Phillip had to drop that, but that dangerous ground.

Talk about me and call me names all you want.  Don't bring my wife or kids or family into it or it's on.

I don't know, I don't think Philip is as annoying/rude as last time.   He's helpful, not terribly grossly dressed, not making creepy comments.  He might stand a chance. And if he goes far based on his prior lack of success, more points to him.  In his first season I hoped and prayed they'd ax him every week.  Now I - gasp - kind of like Philip!  Wow, can't believe I said that.

Also, I am really thinking his silliness is an act.  When he had to respond during the last scene at the challengethatdidn'thappen, he suddenly was eloquent and even had a different way of speaking.  It was spooky.

That's true - tacky.   Although they will all use information about another competitor if pushed.  If you can point out something that shows their true nature, it's a tool.  Of course at that point it was just petty.

I seriously want to give him the the benefit of the doubt and agree with you.  BUT, little food, sleep, stress of competition AND cameras on  you all day TRYING to find things - it's hard to believe under those conditions he can keep up an act unless he is very gifted.  Plus he also seems a little off during confession and the reunion show.

He's just an odd bird, I'm afraid.

I agree that Phillip isn't nearly as crazy as his last round.  I do think he is "off".  Can't really put a finger on it but no one can put up that good of an "act" under these conditions.  I think he really maybe does believe some of what he says....

Maybe this was mentioned.  Are they scraping the bottom of the barrel of "favorites"?

Malcom, Phillip, Cochran, Hansen, and several of the others I can see.

But Dawn?  Nice lady, but was she THAT popular or significant before?  Francesca was the first voted off!  How could she be a fan favorite?  Brenda or Andrea?

If you just played before and willing to go out again, you are a "favorite"?
