I want in on this challenge for 2014! I have never tracked my mileage for an entire year but I think I will make my goal to do at least 1200. Hoping for more, though. Right now I am at 113 miles. Got 105 in January and another 8 yesterday! Hope I am not too late to join!

I'm in, I hit 1061 miles in 2013.

Right now I'm at 134.84

I have 2 marathons on the books for this season so that should help keep my mileage up.

1200 is my goal for 2014 as well. Let's work to push each other the extra mile (or 200!)

Yep, lets do it. I am doing my first IM in November and in between now and then I will have an Olympic Tri, HIM, and a couple of half marathons. Looking forward to a good year!

120 so far this year! And one week until I buckle down with Ironman training. Ran a 25k this past weekend, which went perfectly as I ran as an easy run since I hadn't done over 10 in a year.

Nice work - I've come to love the 10+ mile runs. Never thought that I would say that!

I finished January with 121. Well on my way. Hoping for 1300 on the year, but I am sure my summer mileage will be down during race season, since I mainly do sprints.

So far so good! Well over 100 for January.
I am over 300 so far for my marathon training which amazes me.

16 this Sunday, new longest run which is always fun to accomplish.

I am still at 65 miles. I haven't run in 10 days.
I had a family emergency last week and I had to fly to France. at the same time I catch a stomach flu in the flight and lost 4 kg since last week bad week I guess..
I can't wait to go for a run tomorrow and eat a lot!

131 miles as of today. SLOW going this past week. I am still sick as a dog and finally going to the ENT tomorrow for what is most likely sinus infections on both sides and bronchitis. It's been miserable and I presume running outside in very cold (sometimes unsafe) conditions has contributed! I am hitting the treadmill early this week and hopefully getting some meds and possibly steroids (bluck) tomorrow. Here's to feeling 100% by this time next week and getting back on track. I am not worried about hitting 1000 miles but I am also doing a 100 mile challenge for February and that could be the tough one. Happy running!

I am still having a great start to the year and focusing on my running.  I've tried to incorporate more swim/bike but it has been very difficult to get that next ride in while trying to keep my run miles up.  Maybe when the days are a bit longer and it's warmer out it will become more manageable.  I'm at 232 miles so far this year and coming off a 45 mile week.

I have been traveling and just generally busy so I forgot to check in and the end of Jan! Anyway, I'm at 436.52 for the year. More or less through my volume build for the marathon. Now into some more intensity and a few races (15K, HM, 5K ... maybe a 10K on the track )

Welome to our latecomers! Of course you are welcome to join and we love to have you.

Wow, so many people are truly slaying it! Unfortunately I'm not one of them. I had 6+ months of 110+ miles and now I'm at less than 84 for the last month and a half. Downer. But I'll catch up with the rabbit sometime. Keep running everyone.

One more thing. I sent in my Louisiana mary medal and hubby sent his Tally HM medal to medals4mettle.org. See the Thank You note we received. If anyone thinks they can give up any medals, this is a great program.

Hi Pam!

Thank you so much for dontating more of your medals! It is much appreciated. I want to share with you an email I recently received from the parents of a child at Wolfson Children's Hospital. Thanks again for being part of M4M! Stephanie

"I am writing on behalf of my daughter, Annabella xxxxxx. She is 6 years old and suffers from Juvenile Dermatomyositis (JDM) which is a rare autoimmune disease that affects the muscles, skin, and blood vessels.

We have been coming to Wolfson's Children's Hospital since she was diagnosed in April of 2011 and will continue to do so for many years to come.

Today during her monthly IVIG treatment she received one of your medals that was donated. WOW! There really aren't words to describe how excited she was and us as parents. To know people out there are this amazing and thoughtful brought tears to my eyes. This is a wonderful organization and we are extremely grateful to all those involved it making this happen!

God Bless all of you!

Amanda & Freddie xxxxxx"

That's cool stuff...I have a bunch lying around that I don't need, and somehow got 2nd AND 3rd place at a race I did.

Still plodding along at 20 mpw now, so I'm up to about 90 for the year.  Raced a good 5K over the weekend given the 25 degrees temps and the course.

Headed out today to get in what probably will be my only outdoor run this week, given our predicted 10" of snowfall tonight.  Doesn't the weather understand my training plan????  Sheesh!

Broke through 250 this afternoon and am sitting at 253 for the year.  Every week I tell myself I need to pull back and take a recovery week but I get so much enjoyment out of running it is hard to not go out.  It's warmed up a bit here and this afternoon was very mild at about 50 degrees.

Half way through February and I am sitting at 165 miles for the year, roughly 3.5 mile daily average which is about 1/2 mile under my target. I did make it up to 30 miles last week, after dropping down to 14 for the tour of sufferfest a few weeks back. I have also reached the 80 day milestone for consecutive days running, which is roughly 76 days longer than my previous streak. So all in all progressing along well.

You guys are all doing so great!!!! It's inspiring. This morn as I was laying in bed complaining of being tired, hubby very gently reminded me that there is a difference in good tired and bad tired. He is right and I know it. So my slugfest of the last two weeks is now over. Went out for a run this afternoon and then a small one this evening just to enjoy the sunset. My mileage for the year is still pitiful but that will change. Alarm is set for tomorrow morn and I'll put myself back on a schedule. Everyone here has my permission to butt-kick me if I start making excuses. I'm so far behind that pace rabbit that it will probably take me till end of March to catch it but I will catch him. Everyone else, keep up the great work!

I’ve run 123.52 miles, 5.26 miles behind the bunny, but this is less than last week!!

By my calculations, the pace rabbit is at 128.78 miles this year as of today.

Passed the 200 mile mark today. 204.45 miles. all but 11 of it on the treadmill - I'm going crazy to get outside. But I'm a wimp

Well on my way to a goal of 1200 miles. 75 miles ahead of that bunny!

I think quite truly for the first time I 'get it'. It's not just about the fitness. It's not just about the great little endorphin rush as you hit 5, 10, 15 miles...its not just the medal at the end.
