Do they match up to this list (includes a spreadsheet attachment which is sorted by ascending bib #)? -

Found this on a ST thread today...thought I'd share it with all of you.....tomorrow is your day...have a blast...trust your training!

Ironman reassures me that I have “bigness” within me; for the most part it’s lies dormant. But for the briefest of moments, like on Ironman day, I am big! I am a lion slayer.

HEY EVERYONE!!!! When you approach Timber Lane on your first loop look for the guy in a American flag cape, bandana, and speedo with compression socks and a HR monitor. I'll be sporting the look and running up beside all of you to help carry you over. Just give Ben a shout and I'll give you some extra mojo to crest the hill.

Good luck to everyone I can't wait to watch and cheer for all of your and catch you from 9-12 at the finishline!

Rookie question here regarding T1.  I checked my bike in today and saw how long the run is from the changing room to my bike and then to the bike exit.  What is the best strategy regarding when and where to put your bike shoes on?  In the changing room?  At your bike?  At the bike exit?

Thanks for your help.

I carry mine to the bike exit. There are usually volunteers there to hold your bike while you get your shoes on.

I was the very last rack in '10.  I ran in my socks out to my bike and then put on my shoes. Running the full length of the parking lot with my bike was a pain--I just took my time.  I am glad I did it that way though-there was NO space to lean my bike to put on my shoes at the mount line and I was a BOP swimmer!  If you're a fast swimmer, I bet it is even more crowded.

I was working bike check-in today and answered this question about 100 times!  Put your shoes in T1.  Carry them to the bike.  If you bike is a lowish number (like 800 or below) you are probably best off putting them on at your rack.  If you have a long run with the bike, consider carrying the shoes in one hand and the bike in the other.  In any case, don't put them on in T1.
