reecealan - 2012-11-20 11:26 AM I now own the fruit pie and zingers (they were the last ones).  I wonder if this will be the last time an entire row of a vending machine it Hostess...

I will take the Cheetos, the pie and those peanut M&Ms please and thank you.

Interesting....I'll take the row of cookies, and the row of chocolate below that.

MMMM, chocolate. Golly, is it any wonder the scale groaned at me this morning?

Vitamin C!!!!

Indeed. Chocolate is a vegetable. i just had a Mars bar vegetable. mmmmmm

Asalzwed - 2012-11-20 3:19 PM I have Thanksgiving homework. Try and get out and do a little something. Even if its just for 15 min. Get photo proof if you can Smile

Running the 8k with my aunt.  Well, I'm using "with" loosely.  We are both participating.  I will do it and then make a "cool down" mad dash to the car and get my camera.  Then, if all goes well, I'll get pictures.

Aunt Pat is an inspiration.  She did her first marathon on her 60th birthday (NYC several years ago).  She's a lifetime runner and had trained for two previously but was injured both times.  She sometimes writes for Runner's World.

That is one hawt supercool aunt!!! Hm. I certainly see the resemblance (even if you aren't related by blood).

Hang on, your aunt writes about my favorite subject! How cool is that? Although I have to admit that her subject matter seems a little out of my league, but boy oh boy, that is some neat looking stuff on her website. And being able to work in Paris is just too cool as well.

We Manatees like trotting with turkeys -- ore maybe we just like eating them and pretend that running a few miles will allow us to do so guilt free!  We have a 5k, an 8k and a 10k on tap tomorrow.

Melanie - Sticks and Biscuits Thanksgiving Day 5k  this week's best named run!
Janyne - Turkey Trot (8k)
Jen - Turkey Trot 10k

Go Manatees!

I'd like to add myself to this list.  I am doing the Detroit Stuffing Strut 5k (there is also a Mashed Potato Mile and a Turkey Trot 10k event, but I'm not ready for 10k).

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!!!

HAPPY CALORIE BURN AND GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE RUNNING MANATEES!!!!

Detroit Stuffing Strut!  Another competitor for Best Named Race!  Woo hoo!  Go Jo!  Go!

Easy peasy for me!  Doing a 5K Thanksgiving morning!   Guess I will have to work on the photo proof.  Not so easy when I don't like posting pics of myself that you can easily tell it's me.   I don't like photo proof that I am heavier than I want to be!

cdban66 - 2012-11-21 6:31 AM I woke up this morning to some very kind words from a fellow Manatee, thank you very much Ann-Marie. Then I went out and ran my fastest 3 mile training loop ever. And a notice on the computer from the UPS tracker that my shoes are in a truck near my house. But not here yet. ARGH, why is UPS taunting me? I've decided that the tracking capability is like being a kid on Christmas Eve. The toys are there, but you can't have them. You can almost touch them, but no playing! Oh well, that seems to be the worst part of my day, well that and a trip to the dentist. So really, how bad can I possibly be?

Duuude, sweet new shoes! I love getting new shoes. What are those anyway?

I'll be out of town and won't be taking my bike and I can't run, so I'll try to get some swimming in. The ocean will probably be too cold, so I won't be swimming in it. Luckily there is a really nice swim facility that I should be able to get to - not as fun as the ocean, but at least it will be exercise.

A walk or hike with the family would count too Plus it helps digest all the food!

OMG Timbits. One other thing I can add to the "Canadian things I like" list. Although the rest of TH can go to hell. It all sucks.
