Oh, is there somewhere you recommend to run in Vegas?

Oh, is there somewhere you recommend to run in Vegas?

Depends if you have a car or not.  If you can get to Red Rocks for trail or road.  Lake Mead National Park is nice.  There is a long MUT in Henderson (other side of town from me) that would be nice (I have ridden for Silverman, but never ran it)

Running the strip is ok at this time of year.  Obviously not without issues like lights, traffic and peds.  But those wouldn't be TOO bad this time of year and when you decided to go out.

I ran the strip when I was in Vegas last ... Run from the Mandalay Bay to the Stratosphere and back is a solid 9 miles or so. I think.

Yeah, I think the last time I was there they just had a ton of construction going on and I couldn't really imagine it. But I'm sure it's fine. I'm not going for a tempo or anything

Herrro!  Congrats on racing with Adam Sandler!

If smilies aren't allowed, then I should be exiled (moreso than normal) as I use them regularly

If you go at like 8 or 9 am you can see a TON of people doing the `walk of shame.' Or as I like to call it, the `walk of glory.'

When I was there in November for the Rock n Roll half marathon there was still a bunch of construction in front of New York, New York. If you don't mind running stairs they have walkways that go up and over the Strip at key intersections.

At least the clothes are "cool" - I had to go into a Hollister store to get them. Couldn't see a thing.

Were you also choked by the smell of air freshener in the scent of cologne/perfume?

YES it's awful in there. But to their credit the clothes are not horrible expensive and on Black Friday the whole store was 40% off. I want my nephews to have cool kid clothes - I remember what junior high was like. Ugh!

Socks sorry to hear about your kitteh... he is lucky to have you!

I wish just discussing with my coworkers yesterday morning how to be "cool" in school you HAD to wear name brands. One of them looked at me like I was crazy. She grew up in a big city (Dallas), and that wasn't the case at her school. I thought it was pretty standard stuff... wear name brands... get accepted in school. Right?

Hey TAN long time since I burned some time here. Dare I ask what is new? It has been a bit cool around here, it was a balmy 20 degrees when I picked up the little elves from school. Lots of snow to keep me in shape. Shovel, snowblow, watch plow cover your driveway....Its like a triathlon just colder.

YES. I was sooooo mad at my mother who refused to buy me Guess jeans (or any other name brand of any sort). As an adult I spend a lot of money on nice jeans to make up for it

What up TAN! I am still sick - was up literally all night coughing, even with Nyquil. I don't know how much longer to wait this out. I really don't want to be sick around family for the holidays

Sorry to hear your sick. You will get healthy in time.
When I get sick I usually head to the Sauna (extra hot and extended time) sweat the little bugs out, rehydrate with OJ and water, one does of cold meds and then hit the pillow. Just an idea.

Call your doc and ask for some good cough medicine. I know they called some anitbiotics for you.  tell them you can't sleep because you are up all night coughing and the OTC stuff isn't working

Can't you just call it in for her? Just say `I'm her doc and she needs these drugs.'

And while you're at it, there are a few meds I was wanting to try out ...
