Expert 1452 Troy, MI | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty Beyond Ridiculous Manatees PART 6--CLOSED Still stiff from Thursday's 5k. Thinking that the couch to 5k program in one day might be a little much for this old lady. So happy that I was able to do it (and sub 12's!!). Really renewed what I already know that running is my passion!! Definitely felt the 10lbs I've gained. That is a lot of extra weight to haul around. Gotta work on that. Artemis-great race report!! Take care of those legs. Those hills sounded treacherous! |

Elite 4435 | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty Beyond Ridiculous Manatees PART 6--CLOSED Ironman Training Swim - well 2km in the ocean yesterday in unpredictable chop, you'd get a rhythm then get a random faceful of wave. Excellent. Water cold in spots and really warm in others - eewww! Run - just back from a 17.7km run in blazing sunshine. Felt good. Met a friend unexpectedly so we did 6km of the return leg together, which was lovely. That's two weeks in a row I've got out of my comfort zone and run with someone better than myself. Both times I've loved it. Time to run with a buddy. Ride - it's still the drainer all the way but man I've got some stamina! Not up to 10 hours yet!!! |

Master 6834 Englewood, Florida | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty Beyond Ridiculous Manatees PART 6--CLOSED Good Day all. I am off from work today, have Dr appt, a trip to mom's house to help her get Christmas ready and then another Dr appt. What a waste of a day off! Actually, I got in a 5 mile trail run this morning, which was a great way to start the day. I hope everyone had a great weekend and those that celebrated had a great thanksgiving. Enjoy the week! |

Actually, I got in a 5 mile trail run this morning, which was a great way to start the day.I hope everyone had a great weekend and those that celebrated had a great thanksgiving. Enjoy the week! I did have a great t- giving, especially the part where Notre Dame beat USC and now gets to play for the championship!!!!! GO IRISH!!!On a less happy note, I am leaving work early today to wait for the refrigerator repair guy with hopes that the fridge can be fixed without costing too much.I also got my homework done - a swim at the city pool. Hopefully, I will be able to post a picture as evidence later today. We also had a 4 month old springer spaniel puppy join us for the weekend, so I got a lot of exercise chasing it and making sure my German shepherd didn't unintentionally snap him in half while playing. |

Master 2770 Central Kansas | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty Beyond Ridiculous Manatees PART 6--CLOSED I'm here. My mom is visiting, and we've all been suffering from a stomach virus. Not the best holiday we've ever had. But, we're all surviving and we're together, so that's what's important. Yanti -- when do you start tapering? You have been knocking out some crazy training hours. Chris -- enjoy your day off. You're a good son for helping your mom with the Christmas stuff. Ann-Marie -- Congrats on the Notre Dame win. I should probably look to see how K-State has been doing . . . . nah. |

Pennsylvania | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty Beyond Ridiculous Manatees PART 6--CLOSED Hello, manatees!! For those that celebrated Thanksgiving, hopefully there wasn't TOO much overindulgence. I did OK until the filling got around. Sooooo good, and it's something I just don't make. Yumma yumma!! That and my normal kryptonite, aka mashed potatoes, were my main weaknesses and probably a bit too much of both landed on my plate. With gravy, of course. Otherwise I behaved! Sticks and Biscuits race report is up! Nothing too exciting to report, but it is here for your reading pleasure. I was also able to get out in the 'yak on Friday before the evil winds and cold front came through. Waaaay too windy and cold for biking Sat. and didn't really have time Sun. since my husband's niece stopped in with her baby to stay the night and visit. The Bears (AHL) finally won Sunday evening, yay!! It was good to see a decent game after the travesty I saw there Wed. |

Sorry if this is TMI for the guys, but you all know I've been pre/full onset menopausal for a while. I haven't had a monthly visit since maybe June. Today I feel like I'm going to start. Is that possible? I feel horrible, and I'm fighting the urge to take a Midol. Icky. Edited by KansasMom 2012-11-27 12:34 PM |
