On a serious note:

I have a training question.  Right now I am trying to run frequently while dancing around my ITB and lower back tightness.  My right leg and lower right side of my back has been really tight w hen running, and I don't want to over do it, so I  have been trying to get back into it really slowly.

With some guidance from Ryan, I have started trying to run about 6 times a week, the plan Ryan and I were working on consisted of 3 miles a day, and I think that was putting a little strain on the leg.  Getting ART Thursday, so maybe that will help some.

Looking at BarryP from ST plan (similar to what ryan and I were talking about) which takes the same mileage I was doing, but incorporates 3 EASY days and adds a long day (with the same mileage ...but increasing 10% per week...spread over all the runs.  I am thinking or hoping the easy days will help the leg issue.

My question>  should I throw in my 2 to 3 bike days in the out season on my easy days or my 2 med run days?  Does it matter?

Good job on the rain running! Now, let's see that turkey pie recipe! I made two turkeys just to have the leftovers... was planning a turkey pot pie and would love to see your recipe!! I have a HUGE pot of stock made up for some soup (and for freezing for future recipes). We're still happy with turkey sandos and Thanksgiving leftovers for another day or two.

Turkey pie:

Chopped up one onion
Chopped up some carrots (left over baggies from halloween)  kidos loved them>>>LOL
celery
4-5 cloves garlic minced

Let above soften in covered pan with a little olive oil

Add 2% milk to cover up about half + of the stuff in pan and bring to a boil and add english peas and green beans

Add chopped turkey

Mix 1/4 cup of flour and 1 cup of broth and add to the mixture to thicken

Pour into a baking dish ... Use cresent rolls on top

375 till the rolls are baked.  (15 to 20)

CAVEAT:
If the pie doesn't turn out...you can eat the cresent rolls

What??? You reach out to us now since Ryan hasn't replied to an email in 45 minutes?  WEAK!

Seriously though if you running is by far your weakest event why not stick to it and grow stronger?  If you are feeling like biking may be the weakest then definitely add those on board!  (Plus it may be a nice break on your IT BAND)

Rather a pathetic month, actually.  Helps to remind myself that the mary was on the last day of October - then I really look at some of your run logs and cringe.  ah, well.

As for the rest of the last 2 pages, I've been laughing pretty hard.

Still sticking to the plan that Ryan suggested of running every day...just cutting 3 of those days back a bit to get the leg a little more rest, as I think it was stressing.

Do you think I should stay off the bike totally for a while?  My intentions is to definitely not focus on the bike, but to ride 2 to 3 hrs a week ... I guess i am feeling that as little as I am running (less than 20) right now, that I should be doing something else to build.  20 miles not keeping me busy enough.  If I do ride, should I ride on my easy run day or let that be a GOOD rest day.

Had a decent training month but didn't post so I guess it didn't really happen. Kind of like John's month . I'll have to make sure I post my workouts this month.

I wrote my university exam for Personal Trainer last night and what a cluster f@#!. Brain was like mush and about 2 hours in I felt like walking out. Hung in till the 3 1/2 hours was up and felt better at the end of it. Now have to wait 2/3 weeks for the results. I think I might do some more studying in case I have to rewrite. I was a little disappointed with my performance last night but did my best in the end. So now its hurry up and wait.
