Best......meltdown....ever!!!!!  All I could do was laugh. I was speechless. Mini-Hanz has more than one screw loose. Actually, I think all his screws are loose & rollin' around in that head of his.

As someone stated earlier, Philip is doing well in the challenges, BUT I can't stand the guy!! Keeping him does serve a purpose, besides annoying the heck out of everyone. If Philip makes the final three, then the other two people have a 50/50 shot at winning. That's better than a 33% chance of winning.

I don't know, I don't think Philip is as annoying/rude as last time.   He's helpful, not terribly grossly dressed, not making creepy comments.  He might stand a chance. And if he goes far based on his prior lack of success, more points to him.  In his first season I hoped and prayed they'd ax him every week.  Now I - gasp - kind of like Philip!  Wow, can't believe I said that.

Also, I am really thinking his silliness is an act.  When he had to respond during the last scene at the challengethatdidn'thappen, he suddenly was eloquent and even had a different way of speaking.  It was spooky.

I actually kind of like him, too!  It's a game for goodness sake.  Brandon, totally let Phillip get under his skin!  He should have known better, having played the game before.  Total wack job!

Maybe this was mentioned.  Are they scraping the bottom of the barrel of "favorites"?

Malcom, Phillip, Cochran, Hansen, and several of the others I can see.

But Dawn?  Nice lady, but was she THAT popular or significant before?  Francesca was the first voted off!  How could she be a fan favorite?  Brenda or Andrea?

If you just played before and willing to go out again, you are a "favorite"?

Dawn and Brenda were actually forces to be reckoned with on their Seasons.  Dawn came in something like 4th her season and she was a bit of a rockstar in challenges.  People liked her a lot.  Brenda was running the show her season until she got blindsided.

But I agree about Francesca and Andrea...they were really nothings on their seasons.  I think several of the old school players have either played too many times or gotten what they needed out of the show.  Let's take someone like Parvarti...you KNOW she would be the first person voted out...it isn't worth her time.  Kind of like what finally happened to Russell on his third season...he was targeted from the get go.  He never really would have a good game again...unless they had an all-stars.

Plus I don't think we've had enough NEW players to generate good returning players for a favorites episode!  It seems like for many of the most recent seasons we've been bringing back at least 2-3 returning players.  And this is the second fans v favorites in recent memory.  That all cuts the pool down for new blood...

Finally got a chance to watch.

Brandon seems to always be trying so hard to prove something to someone. I can't help but watch him this time around and wonder if his uncle/family had a fit about his game play the first time around so now he is trying to prove he is a "Hantz".

I can't imagine how difficult it would be to live with either Brandon or Philip but both of them at the same time - I'd be bawling like Andrea too. Both of them are way too over the top. Seems like they both need their egos stroked all day long.

Not excited that Reynold found the immunity again either. Agree with who ever said he is full of himself.

There is a girl on the fans team with brown hair. I don't even know if I have heard her say a word. She will probably win the whole show Wink.

I think I'm the only one that likes Reynold.  Yes he is arrogant but he's the underdog and a beast in challenges.

Really just glad Shamar is gone.  The look on Reynolds face during Hantz's rant was priceless.

Looks like a swap coming up so this should be interesting.  Maybe Sherri can get her power back and Malcom can start to play the social part of the game.

I think Malcom is playing it very well so far.  Just keep your head down, be liked, help at camp and win challenges.

I agree with the poster above that spoke about some of these people being "favorites"

ERIC?  I like the kid but he went out on the last fans vs favorites for giving up his idol to parvati.  Dumb kid.

Franchesca: she was brought back ONLY to get under Philips skin.  Same result this time voted out first.

Andrea: I don't remember her much from her season.

The rest are legit favorites.  Dawn was the older lady that was very likable with Cochran and a beast in challenges.

Brenda was really good in her season and I miss her yellow Bikini she wore in her original season.  She hasn't been shown much this season.

Also for all the muscle talk for the fans why did they have their two strongest guys tossing coconuts and not holding the rope? I think either of the younger guys would have done way better than the guy with glasses and they are wondering why they are losing so much.

I wondered the same thing. Maybe guy with glasses is not good at shooting baskets though. I really stink at shooting baskets and can rarely make a shot.

Was wondering the same. My only thought was the ability to move quickly and put shots in the basket outweighed holding the rope.

I think they were playing it loose with the word "Favorites."   In the first episode, Probst said what they had in common was they left sort of notoriously.  Either blindsided, the idolinthepocket guy, Andrea's foolish flirting with the cute blond guy, etc.  That's really the schtick they were going for, I think.  Fans vs. Idiots just didn't sound as good.

I think the fact that they have played before makes them "favorites" because it's an advantage.  Even if you got booted off you still have experience in the game...the person with the experience in a competition is often the favorite....

I'm guessing they don't since they could get caught on camera, but is Jeff the only referee for these challenges?  I always think of better ways to do things but they don't happen.

My favorite is the two people need to pull the one person off the pole and drag them across the line.  I have a great game plan for that.

From what I understand (gleaned from various articles and such over time), after Jeff gives the "on camera" summary of the challenge he walks through the challenge (off camera) with the contestants going over the rules that he didn't necessarily say on camera.  For example, ever notice that the contestants often have to have their hand on something when the challenge starts?  But you rarely hear Jeff say it.  He told them that during the "off camera" time to strategize and understand the challenge.

Despite that though sometimes the contestants will come up with a way to do the challenge that the dream team didn't come across.  As long as it isn't against the rules that have been spelled out it's fair game.  But, one of the reasons they do the dream team run through is to attempt to figure out how the challenge might be circumvented...which probably leads to some of the rules.  We as viewers are definitely not aware of *all* the rules....that I'm sure of.

The only shame in this whole Brandon debacle is that CBS actually brought him on for a second time. He was nuts the first time and CBS shouldn't have allowed him back. Heck, at least Russell played the game. I would have rather seen him or tons of other past players.

The only thing I give him actual credit for is calling his tribe out. He was spot on. Everyone DOES think Phillip spy ring is stupid and talks too much but they just smile and take it. He was just childish on how he did it. He was tired of playing along and kissing butt.

I will give him credit and say that most of the stuff he (Brandon) said was true. He was just so crazy about it. No one probably listened!

Brandon was right what he was saying about Phillip but he is just a crazy punk kid. How does hurting the tribe show Phillip anything?

Yeah, I feel bad for the rest of the tribe being caught in the crossfire. They didn't deserve to get their food ruined because Brandon was ticked off at Phillip.

The picked some well known players, and other players that annoyed the well known players.

And they don't always pick favorites people actually LIKE. Sometimes it's just ones that are really well known, even if it is for being annoying, nuts, etc.

jumping in the conversation rather late.....

I think Brandon got jealous because Philip held onto his rope longer than Brandon did his in the challenge (kind of like a 5 year old might) and that is what cause his whole meltdown. Well that and his other emotional problems...

Phillip does not bug me quite as much this time... maybe we are just used to him :/ maybe his underwear are not quite as bad this time. And WHY are they (several of the guys) wearing underwear instead of the bathing suit anyway???? I cant imagine wet cotton being more comfortable than a quicker drying fabric...

And I like Dawn. I think she is a strong player.

All true.  But that ain't how you play Survivor unless you get some people to back you.  He didn't know how to harness what he was doing.  You blindside people, you don't come at them through the front door

He's immature.

You probably have seen the type.  He knew he was on the way out so instead of scrambling and trying to stay and then potentially failing and getting voted off, he blows up so he can say they didn't vote him off, HE got himself voted off - it was his choice - so he didn't fail, he succeeded in getting voted off.

If that makes sense.

That's a good point about Philip beating him in the challenge but IIRC the other tribe was loading up Brandon quick so it would be likely he would drop his faster than Phlip.

I think you put  on whatever is most dry so if it's underwear or bathing suit.

Dawn is a good player and she was strong last time.

Love tribe swaps.  But it stinks that the favorites have the advantage on both tribes...could make it dull.  I saw immediately that orange was going to have the physical advantage.

Love that both idol holders are keeping their mouths shut.

I think Phillip is heading for another final 3...no one likes him but they can tolerate him enough to let him hang out!  He's kinda crazy!

Corinne's "baby on a plane with diarrhea" was awesome too.

I don't think purple made the right call...the girl is a lot less useful in challenges and it isn't like tattoo guy would be a huge threat after the merge either....

Completely agree. Bad move.

Did you see the previews for next week? Made me think the good looking kid (favorite) from orange will get blindsided next week....
