For me that's 45-hour of slow and rather pathetic paddling. :/ I talk myself out of swimming so easily because I'm not "good" at it. I know, I know...totally counterproductive! So I need to ask for some help staying focused and not taking the easy way by swapping out swim for bike/run. Thanks in advance, pod. If you cancel your swim in favor of a bike/run - I'm going to pop a hole in your bike tire and steal 1 of your running shoes. Yes! That's some good motivation! |

Master 1890 Gig Harbor | Subject: RE: Mad Manatees Mentor Group - VERY CLOSED!!! Sorry! Quick Question Manatee's. Would it be worth it for me to pay $85 for the 6 month gold membership for a custom training plan? I need help with a training plan that will take into consideration my racing schedule "main events" which are: 4/6 : Marthon 6/30: 1/2 IM 8/24: Full IM (Most important out of these three "main" events) I want to do my best at all 3 of these. I will be doing other events (probably Oly's) in the other months. My main train of thought is to build running until 4/6 (because that is what killed me in my IM last year), then really focus on my full on 8/24. My goal is 10 to 11 hour range for my Full on 8/24. I believe with a good run, I can be closer to 10 hours, and if last years times are an indicator - I believe I can podium at this race. (winner was 10:07...2nd place was 11:03) All advice / help is greatly appreciated. |

Master 1890 Gig Harbor | Subject: RE: Mad Manatees Mentor Group - VERY CLOSED!!! Sorry! Wow I've had a great day. Work sucked as usual, but no biggie. I got dumped via text for the 1st time ever! Don't feel sorry for me, about 10 mins later I was added to her "booty call" list. First time for that too! (Don't be judging me) LOL I setup a date for Monday with a female delivery driver from Coke. I met her a few weeks ago, got her number last week and started texting her - finally setting up a 1st date for Monday. (Just to clarify, I'm not a player, and if a relationship develops with anyone I'm dating, I wouldn't be up for a booty call. Until them, I'm totally game - don't be hatin' - it's been a very long time). I got home and went for a wicked awesome run. Ran 5.24 miles in 38:32 for a 7:20 avg pace. Splits were as follows 7:20, 7:25, 7:21, 7:15, 7:12 - I am so stoked that I negative split the last 4 miles!! Went to the weight room and did my crunches, pushups and a full round of weights, plus did some dips and worked the triceps. All the while, I had some awesome heavy rock playing in my head that just got me all pumped up. I have a new theme song.. to me, this song is about following your dreams. *warning - explicit lyrics* Here it is if you are interested. So Far - Buckcherry While doing my curls I looked in the mirror and really liked the way the person looking back at me looked. Started dancing and singing and really just feel like I am on top of the world tonight. If I could bottle up my euphoria right now I would give you all a bit of it. LIFE IS GOOD! |

Muskrat37 - 2013-01-16 8:17 AM jbwills - 2013-01-15 11:20 PM After a rough day at work I am tired and near exhausted. I had trouble falling asleep last night so getting my pre-work run in this morning did not happen, I was hoping for a snow day. I kind of felt it at work and had wished I had gotten my butt up to do it. I did actually come home, checked my snail mail and then hoped on the trainer. I think I may set a goal of 30 in 30 with my shortest run being 2 miles on Sundays. I know it is going to jump my miles up by what is in my logs, but I do not always log my Army PT. I estimate my normal run being about 3.5 miles at an easy pace for this first month. After a week I might lengthen a midweek run to add some more mileage. My long run would be on Friday being around 6-7 miles. What thoughts do the Manatees have? I have learned by now to stop or slow down if the body screams or complains. I am still paying for stupidity in my youth from running cross country. I do not have a set training plan yet. I only have one known race but a couple I hope to do. My Masters Swim is back in session so I will be rejoining them 2-3 times a week (M, W, Sa). The other nights would be rides on the trainer until mid-March. My runs would be in the morning before work. Friday may be swapped around for a ride in the morning and run at night due to it being my "long" run day. Thoughts? Comments? Suggestions? I love it. I think streaking is a great way to build consistency in running. When I did my streak - there were days the streak got me out there, no matter what. I am contemplating another streak myself...maybe we can go streaking together. LOL I am thinking of streaking from Feb 4 to Mar 6. You game? I have a "class" I have to go to next week for 3 days (Army "Camping" in the cold) and then I am going to do the "Tour of Sufferlandria" until Feb 2. I plan to get some runs in during the tour but on my swim days I will do my bike instead of my run in the morning. |

Master 6834 Englewood, Florida | Subject: RE: Mad Manatees Mentor Group - VERY CLOSED!!! Sorry! Good Day Everyone, I hope all is well wherever you are. A couple of things from the past page or 2: Chad - I don't know what the Gold membership gives you, but if you are serious about coaching in the future, it might be a beneficial test for you. I would think it would be good to test a few different training plans and get a feel for the benefits of a plan that someone has prepared so that you can be more confident building plans for others in the future. Jo - Thanks for the Burfoot quote, a part of it is now on my log here. I hope all is well with you. Ann-Marie and Janyne - I am considering the Oly at Rev3 Venice. I need to make sure we have nothing schedule wise that gets in the way. I'll probably talk it over with my DW and see how it fits. Jen - I hope the rain is ending by you. My uncle is currently pumping out his flooded basement in Tennessee. Not cool. Best of luck to you. Manatees - The before and after pics have been really cool. Great job everyone! The thought of streaking Manatees has seared a scary picture in my mind's eye Thanks for that. The streaking idea may fit into my HM prep, but I have a tendency to take the occasional day off as the body requests it. I might do a 30 in 30 type of thing though. Have a great day, the weekend is almost here!!! |

I have an ISM (Adamo) on my roadie but it just kills me for the tri bike. I put a Koobie on that one (another long-nose but fairly narrow split saddle). |

I believe it's the prologue but don't know 100%. I didn't really look at the saddles that's what the fitter said was working best for me. I do know that several people are complaining about the width of this saddle and it does feel pretty wide.
