Artemis - 2013-04-18 9:35 AM In true Manatee spirit, I signed up for a 10k yesterday.  I realized this morning that I will be racing 4 weeks in a row.

Me too! Sorta. I have the Metric Cenury on May 4 (not technically a race), a sprint the 12th, an Oly the 19th and a 10k the 27th. This weekend DH and I are doing a bicycle winery tour. Def not a race Laughing

I've got 5K, half marathon, horse show, wine tour (in a limo - but it's like a marathon of drinking!) over the next four weekends!

"The Cat in the Hat" has Matilda the Manatee on this morning Laughing  song-"Slow, slow, keep it slow. The manatee way to swim is slow." hahahahaha!

ok...looks like I have lots to catch up on.

And I have opinions to ask on possible races.

And swimming stuff to update.

And....I'd better get to it.

Asalzwed - 2013-04-18 10:35 AMJust a side note, the pug pissed on me in bed last night. Yup. Apparently she was literally pissed I left her for 10 days.
If you lived by my motto of " no dogs in bed" this would never happen

Amen. Pug or no pug. No dogs in bed.

Cats . . . that's another story. I wuv my kitty.

Any animal that disturbs my sleep does NOT get to sleep on the bed.

This includes humans. It excludes some cats and some dogs. I have slept with ferrets and rats.

My dog used to sleep in my bed, but he couldn't jump onto the bed. Well, he could, but for some reason didn't think he could. So, when he wanted up he'd jump his top half on the bed and then if I didn't get up and boost him up, he'd slap the bed with his paw, give me time to respond and if I didn't do it again. So, I usually need up getting out of bed and boosting my 110lb German shepherd into bed. Good times. I don't know why, but a couple of years ago he stopped doing that and hasn't been on the bed since. Couch, yes.

I know you're goin' to find this as hilarious as I do, but I was actually thinking of your Oly plan during my swims this week and runs ... in between plotting to "take care" of people in creative ways. The two seemed to complement each other.

Diana Nyad sent me her condolences on my father's passing. So, so sweet of her.

Not sweeter than anybody else's ... it's just she's got such a huge following and she's so busy ... it was just kind.

I know, I know.  It's just a lot of work.  There is a big trend in VA of having "cideries" like wineries because that's what the Founding Fathers would drink.  So, we have lots of small batch local ciders.  I'll have to check them out.  I am a big fan.

Yes. Macca. I'm sure that will change in the future, but I don't know him.

I also passed up dinner with Cam Brown in NZ. Hard to believe, I know, but I already had plans and they were quiet and I still wasn't feeling great from the race. I'm sure he was crushed.
