We're getting that for Monday and Tuesday... a high of -22 for Monday and a high of -17 for Tuesday.  Yay.

My bosses at work gave me a GC to the LBS and I think I might want this one which will still leave me enough in the GC to also get a really good lock and a couple of other things...

I know I may complain about the heat, but winters are nice here!  I plan to get 90 minutes on the bike tomorrow and probably wear nothing more than a light biking jacket...  Plan to get some running in tonight as well...

i didn't even get a christmas bonus this year.  and my boss can't even spell my name right.

I made my own horseradish infused vodka the other night. YUM!  Also my own marshmallow infusion.  DOUBLE YUM!

I had a mule last night that substituted vodka with a pepper infused tequila.  It was awesome!  Had the sweet spicy thing going on with most typical mules but and extra kick from the infused tequila.  I could have drank a dozen...

Yeah, this is from the guys that I work with directly, the bonus from the firm wasn't as much as these two gave me, but they are SO freakin' generous... they also gave me $200 cash when I went to B2B to make sure I bought some finisher's gear.  They're pretty awesome.   

Thankfully they can also spell my name correctly.

So the wife worked a NYE gig like usual (showgirl and group dance number) while I held down the fort.  Apparently, tons of middle aged wives felt SOOO bad she had no one to kiss at midnight they all wanted to make out with her.  Isn't it great to know how sweet and considerate people are at the turn of the year?

I'm sure the husband were "yeah, go make out with the showgirl only so she doesn't feel left out - we wouldn't want that...I won't even watch".

Bah, I'm bored and hungry but still recovering from a cold I got an ANOTHER flight.  I always get sick after being stuck on a plane for a couple hours...  Maybe I will get my hair did at lunch.  Should I wash that grey out or be distinguished?

That sounds pretty darn good, do you have a recipe link? Have you tried a black pepper infused vodka? Makes for a really good base for a bloody mary, I bet a mix of the horseradish and black pepper vodkas would be even better.

EXACTLY what I did.  I was apprehensive when someone gave me a shot of it in Denver but ice cold?  It was startlingly good.

Anyway...  2 oz of fresh horseradish root peeled and diced into about 1/4" dice.  1/2 teaspoon peppercorns into a 750ml bottle of decent (doesn't have to be great) vodka.  Steep for 24 hours.  More if you want it stronger - 24 seemed good to me.   Strain.   It was good right away, but they say it mellows out with some aging (if it lasts that long!)

I found the horseradish in the produce section of my local mega mart.  Don't need to go anywhere fancy.
