812 Katy, Texas | Subject: RE: More Manatee Mayhem - 2017 Edition - Closed Originally posted by brigby1 Originally posted by Jet Black Congrats Jim on the FTP bumb! That always feels great! And congrats Karen on a great race! I'm always about pushing the limits in a race, you learn way more about yourself that way. Good job! Did you see all the commotion over on ST about Jordan Rapp being sued by Dimond? He left them because he felt the bikes were unsafe, so curious how other Dimond owners are feeling with this development. Oh yeah I saw it. My bike has been great, no issues with it. But the only reason I got it is because I got a smoking deal on it so not blinding in love with Dimonds or anything. IMO - Rapp is a piece of work. He's the classic guy that thinks he's the smartest guy in the room but doesn't have the self awareness to realize he's not. He basically admitted to lying to all of us about Dimond for years because it was in his best interest to do so, but we should believe him now? Laughable. And he's got the money in savings, but doesn't want to spend it so he's asking for others to pay for his defense for him? Double laughable especially since if he wins in court they would likely rule that Dimond must cover his legal fees. I have no idea what he thinks he's gaining by posting that on slowtwitch other than just trying to burn Dimond down. |

Master 9705 Raleigh, NC area | Subject: RE: More Manatee Mayhem - 2017 Edition - Closed Jen had the baby! She posted the following: Well, baby arrived yesterday right on his due date. A boy. Named Logan, weighing in at 9lbs, 7oz. Labour was fast and well, what can you say about a drug free delivery? Anyway, contractions started around 630 am. We arrived at the hospital by 830 and then he was born just after 1030. We spent the night in the hospital but should go home by lunch today. Yesterday I felt very woozy after the birth so we stayed. |

Veteran 2441 Western Australia | Subject: RE: More Manatee Mayhem - 2017 Edition - Closed Watched a really interesting documentary on the plane on Thursday called Marathon: the Patriots day bombing. It followed the recovery of some of the people who were injured in the Boston Marathon bombing, most of them are now amputees, one of them actually ran the Boston marathon in 2016. It was good and I think well worth a watch if you have a spare 90 minutes. I think it may have originally screen on hbo in the US. |

I've read some of that thread and if Rapp were my client I would not be happy!! I also don't like his explanation for asking others to fund his defense -I've answered questions and given away some free stuff I've been given, so asking others to give me $$ is ok! |

Pennsylvania | Subject: RE: More Manatee Mayhem - 2017 Edition - Closed Originally posted by emcmino On this slow Thursday, I just wanted to post that I got a new (to me) bike this year. I always said I was too slow to have a dedicated tri bike, but I got a deal that I could not pass up. I have only ridden it a couple of times, but can't wait to use it in my first race of the year this weekend. Suh-weet ride, you're going to have so much fun on it! Best of luck in your race this weekend, have fun and be safe! Be fast, too, naturally. |
