Ran in a Boston Tribute group this morning as part of the 3 mile team. I did it two times, so 6 miles in the books. And I got one of the best finisher ribbons ever:

Enjoy the day everyone, race well and smile a lot.

Nice.

Holy cow! 30k runners/ walkers? (will have check that reported number tomorrow) And here I thought Phoenix RnR was big!?!?! 4.2 in 39:03 "official" 38:56. I'm happy with that It's a big military race and was cool to see so many people wearing/ carrying flags and having " In Honor Of:" lists on their bibs. Looked all over the expo area for our "AZ runs for Boston" bracelets, but no luck. Maybe they only did it before the start.

Hey you, are you doing Bug Sur?

YES!!!! I am so excited!!! I am doing the 21 mile.  I refuse to say I dropped to the 21 mile.  It is still 21 FRICKIN' MILES, and on the same course and Mile 5 (start for 21 mile) to mile 9 are downhill (before the uphill but I sort of like hills a lot so that doesn't bug me).   The 21 mile has the same time limit as the marathon so I can go couch to 21 and not stress that I won't finish in time.  I am planning a 30s run: 1 min walk ratio, with lots of pictures and enjoyment.   I am taking advantage of every minute that my registration fee bought me.

Just finishing up a 21 day structured food plan reset of my body.  Lost 11 lbs so far and it really has helped my confidence, motivation, energy level, and overall well-being.

I did sign up for Marine Corps Marathon in Oct.  Next Sunday, after a 21 mile stroll, I will restart my running life.  I'm BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!!!

Yay!

Double Yay!!

Took a 3 hour nap.  Feeling so much better! I'm going to be sad when my daughter stops napping.  It's harder to justify that when she's not also sleeping.

It was fun! It's hard not to smile when you are covered in paint and there's color dust flying everywhere.  Not sure it's a race I'd want to spectate, but it was fun to participate.

I worked a bike event this morning for PowerBar. I also got my post marathon cold I always seem to get. I was shivering so bad I left a little early. I'm doing the responsible thing and going to a friends bday/pub crawl tonight. I'm sure that will help

Double win! Glad you so much fun...and the wine part didn't affect the bike part too much. Unless that wasn't really a SM therapist you met Wink

Sorry you're feeling icky, but looks like you have a solid recovery plan in place. Innocent No worries, you'll be well in no time!

DD2 did one of these last week. She is really not a runner, but is trying. And the Color Runs really do look like perfect events for fun. I'm with you on the spectating too. Although volunteering at one is probably fun.

Wow, missed a bunch.  Just back from my yearly drink-fest professional association conference.  Always a good time, some good learnin' and seeing some old friends.  Got both my runs in to boot.  I have discovered that running on the Sat morning negates, at least from a head and tummy standpoint, Friday night.

So, congrats to all the racers.  Tom, I hope your knee is feeling better.  Jo, stalk away.  Other Jo, congrats on the weight loss and being baaaaaack.  Salty, I hope you are feeling better soon.  If I missed anyone, I shall try and catch up.

ETA: Chris, that is indeed a great race ribbon.

Nothing cures a hangover better than a run in the am. Additionally nothing makes me a more conservative drinker than knowing I have to run in the am lol.

Yes, and look who makes his appearance during the quiet times just to stir things up. Hi.
