Sherm, Just add another set instead of increasing each set or do bicycles for a few or do some obliques.  You can do it.

We all do whatever it takes to motivate ourselves...and others if need be.

I give baseball hitting and pitching lessons to players from 11-20 years old....and one of the *motivational ideas* I do with my players is to have them do a task a certain way based on what we are working on that night and if they don't they do push-ups or crunches...If they do it correctly, then I have to do them.

Well last night as a motivator for us both, I gave each student something that I knew they could execute easily with p-u & cru. on the line....well they all performed great and it really boosted their confidence to see old Coach Steve on the turf doing push-ups and crunches.

And there was no way I could bail on the drill with players and parents looking on.

So I am actually a little ahead for the week but it took me 10 minutes to type this because I can't lift my hands to get to the keyboard for longer than 2 minutes at a time...

Good Luck with your training this week and Happy Holidays to all.

This is how my arms feel every Thursday by the time my 3rd set rolls around.  I'm SOOOO looking forward to the weekend.  I'm happier doing my 3 hour run than I am doing extra sets of pushups.

Another week in the books.  More next week.

Funny, it is getting harder and yet easier every week.  And I am starting to look really ripped, at least on the inside.

Yeah well get ready Cubey...the first thing we're gonna do tomorrow night is pushups...then we eat!!    Just kidding!  (Well actually, I probably WILL do pushups before dinner.)

When Chuck Norris does pushups... he dosen't push himself up, he pushes the earth down!

Just some motivation for the weekend. Maybe one day we can all be like Chuck Norris.

Even Tim Tebow wears Chuck Norris pajamas

Finished for the week

TOTALS TODAY

PU- 2 sets x 10ea = 20 x twice today = 40p/u
SU- 2 sets x 30ea = 60 x twice today = 120s/u

Totals for the week
P/U = 120
S/U = 360

Right on schedule. I am glad I stayed with the 2 sets. After evaluating during the first week I knew last Fri. that adding a set a week was just NOT going to happen. Massage Therapist says she can see/feel a difference in the biceps, pecs and deltoids. WOOO HOOOO.
This was still a bad idea but maybe just not as bad as I thought.

Be happy with the small changes and they will become big changes.  I wish I had a massage therapist....sigh.

I only got in 1/2 with this - we had a terrible ice storm come through which put me in the dark for 1/2 the week and kept me busy with other things to relate to it and the house (hubby is gone again).

I managed to squeeze in 2 days of 2x125 for crunches and 2 days of 2x15 pushups. I will make up the missed session this coming week as well as the required 4 days.

Just in time to report that I finished for this week. Whew!

SU - 2 x (2 x 20), plus 2 x (2 x 25) = 180

PU - 2 x (2 x 20), plus 2 x (2 x 25) = 180

Due to the swim challenge and this, I am monitoring my right shoulder "twinge" that is lingering.  I'll finish the challenge but try not to push it as hard.

How we all doing, folks?  We're 1/2 way there!!!!

Great job everyone.  Remember that abs and arms/chest are muscles and need a rest day just like all others.

I'm late checking in for week 2.  But, I hit all my weekly goals, and did one extra to make up for last week's slacking.

I haven't posted here much, but I do definitely feel a difference from doing this challenge.  I'm back on track after missing one set and one full day last week.  I made up both on Monday by doing 5x30 pushups and 5x75 crunches.
